Moisturisers, toners, scrubs, cleansers.
Preferable something I can get in the UK.Skin care products (Facial) for black people!!!!?
Cocoa ButterSkin care products (Facial) for black people!!!!?
are you racist? try olive oil
Try St. Ives products! they have a wide array of items that is all natural and very affordable! :D
hey there .. as soon as i read your question something popped into my mind. SEPHORA. lol i just love skincare products i actually thought of becoming a dermatologist. The thing is that you gave us a pretty superficial description to your skin. for me to actully recomend you a nice product i need to evaluate your skin . what do i mean by that? do you have any problems when it comes to pigmentation? any marks discolorations ect? is your skin dry, oily , combo or do you have any sort of acne? the answer to these will also affect my answer ... so this is what i recomend for you from ur general description( based on the fact that you are black)
http://skincarerx.com/dark-skin.html#Cleansers+for+Dark+Skin
go to skincare rx and theyll show you ALL skincare products for darks skin from cleansers to toners and moisturizers that care reduce your melanin and do good for your skin. hope this helps......
so you just told me what your skin type is well there are two options for you 1. buy over the counter COSMETIC products or 2. buy dermatological products. I use dermac soap wich is a gentle bar soap(most people tell othres to use cleansers but this works wonders for me and for all my irneds that have used it) and a adapalene 0.2 % solution wich is called differin and it works wonders for me actually people always tell me i have pretty decent skin :D look haha http://s9.photobucket.com/albums/a87/colombianbaby/?action=view%26amp;current=jajajaj.jpg ( just out of bed in m grammys pjs lol) ...i havent gotten a pimple since the sixth grade and i had acne and oily skin, my visit to the dermatologist did wonders for me.. but remember what works for me may not work for you. well what i CAN say is that you buy a great cleanser
1.biore blemish fighting ice cleanser wich is great.
2. you dont need to use a tonner thats all a bunch of cr@p
3. DO USE SUN SCREEENNNNNNNNNN this is vital use Normal Skin - Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry-Touch Sunblock SPF 55
4.twice or once a week exfoliate after cleansing
St. Ives Elements Microdermabrasion Scrub
sometimes great skin is all about common sense so remember just clean your skin twice daily and in between lets say by miday wipe it off with a tissue ( i mean the excess oil) also you are what you eat for great i mean AMAZING skin try to keep it healthy http://yourtotalhealth.ivillage.com/eat-wellness-better-skin-diet.html try to keep this foods on your everyday diet and theyll do wonders. if you take a multivamtamin it wont be that good beause they contain lots of vitamin B wich breaks you out. ( when they say diet does not affect skin or acne thats a load of crap too by modifiying mine i got rid of my problem skin) drink lots of water daily and follow this skin care tips and live by these skin care commandments http://www.lhj.com/lhj/story.jhtml?storyid=/templatedata/lhj/story/data/SoniaKashuk_10SkincareTips_05072004.xml

Refer to the website i gave..it really helped me!
I used to always get acne, but now i use this Neem facepack that has really helped reduce my acne. And for the marks and scars, use crushed cucumer juice and some drops of lemon and apply to face. They start to fade away...
Even more: if a pimple pops, apply 10 drops of lemon on a cotton ball and press onto the spot. There will be NO redness or a scar...and to reduce/get ride of a pimple, use ice....
I got EVERYTHING i know from this website...
it is really helpfull..read the question/answers as well, you may never know that what you're wondering is already answered. Good Luck!

Skin care question........???
Ive been depressed for a really long time..I am just throwing that in.but that is really besides the point...I used to have flawless skin...but as i got depressed and stressed out A LOT...i started to get pimples...its really not that bad i have seen people with A LOT worse but i took pride in my clear skin and its the only thing i loved about myself...I have been using St.ives products scrub and face wash for acne prone skin...and Witch hazel...i have been using it for about 2 months now...and about half way through that time i noticed a change...i was thinking WOW this is actually working....then all the sudden BOOM..it all comes back..........I don't understand why this is??? it seemed like it was working....me not stressing out is not something i can control right now...are these products not good??? I am using them religiously!!!!! at this point i am kinda feeling like there isn't much more i can do...I am doing everything possible to help...and nothings helping!!!!!!...and i don't want to use proactive...even if it does work...i like products that can be bought in stores.....I guess my question is why did it seem to be working...and then backfired???Skin care question........???

Sad. I've had a similar experience. Basically, what you were using was like giving your tired, stressed self a temporary boost. Then your body became sensitive to it, and said ';this is too harsh!'; Try gentler products without the witch hazel. I suggest biore in your case.
sad but I recommend to use dermaE is a organic products that help and heals people with acne I use to have bad skin but now my skin is more dewy go to dermaE.com the most important that this products is organic not chemical like proactive.pulse rate

I have wheatish complexion n my skin is oily n sensitive in nature. Can someone recommend what i can do to improve my skin quality? I have started eating3-4 almomds in the morning. How will this help me?Skin care for Pigmentation?
You need to stay out of the sun... Skin cancer is a possible risk here.... Always use a spf of 30 and wear a hat... Even in the winter when the snow reflects the sun and you burn.. It only gets worse .......Go to a dermatologist while you are still in the beginning of this stage... There are exfolliating skin care regiments or lazer but all must be done by a professional. Remember, you only have one face and you are only as young as your skin shows and tells... Take care of it.....Skin care for Pigmentation?
skin lighteners are not enough to maintain a fair skin tone..
a high spf sunscreen is a MUST in the regimen too..
unprotected skin can get sun damage and darkening easily..
that's how i did it. ';-)

Skin care - help?
Ok, i have combination skin (skin gets extremely oily in T-zone - forehead, chin, and creases of nose) and it hasnt really been a huge problem up until now. I am nearly 13 years old so my hormones are going crazy. My skin is getting REALLY oily around my nose, and im breaking out everywhere. Before, i would get the occasional noticeable pimples here and there, and some under the skin pimples that werent too noticable.
I am now getting large pimples in eyebrows, on my forehead, and around my nose. There is one that is really bothering me above my lip, it doesnt seem to go away :(
I am currently using spectro gel for combination skin. That seems to be working to prevent the pimples (i started using this after my big breakout) but it isnt helping to get rid of them. Do you know of any really good working creams or skin treatments that helps pimples go away quicker?
Any at home treatments that you know of that would work?
Also, does spectro work as well as i beleive it does?Skin care - help?
if i were to choose between benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid, i'd definitely choose benzoyl peroxide. it works better.
you can also crush garlic and then apply the juice on your face.

Skin Care Help - making face more clearer?
What should i be doing to help clear my face? I eat pretty healthy and I run almost everyday. I tried the seaweed Body Shop line but it was too harsh on my face and right now i am washing my face at least once a day with a Noxzema citrus face wash then putting and aloe cream on my face. Even tough my face is clean and im putting cream on a lot it is trill pretty dry and i am getting a lot of blackheads and zits which is bothering me. My face is clear except for the problem areas : Nose, chin, and between the eyebrows. Does anyone know what i could be doing to help clear my face or know of any face washes (product lines) that might help?Skin Care Help - making face more clearer?
This is what I do and use: In the Mornings I use Apricot Scrub: Invigorating then I use Clean %26amp; Clear Morning Burst Shine Control Facial Cleanser to help sooth and reduce redness. Afterwards I follow with putting some L'Oreal Dermo-Expertise HydraFresh Toner on a cotton pad and wait for it to dry completely, then put on a doctor prescribed medication. Once every 2 weeks instead of using Clean %26amp; Clear, I use one Biore Self-Heating Mask then follow with my regular routine. Every night before going to bed I use 1-2 sheets of Equate Facial Cleansing Towelettes to remove makeup and continue with using L'Oreal Dermo-Expertise HydraFresh Toner and the doctor prescribed medication.
Target:
Apricot Scrub: Invigorating: ~$4.00
Clean %26amp; Clear Morning Burst Shine Control Facial Cleanser: ~$7.00
Biore Self-Heating Mask: ~$8.00
Walmart:
Equate Facial Cleansing Towelettes, ~$6.00
Walgreen鈥檚:
L'Oreal Dermo-Expertise HydraFresh Toner: ~$7.00 (99% Alcohol free)
Sam's Club:
Doctor Prescribed Medication: ~$5.00 (Ask your doctor about a treatment you could use and they should give you a prescription.)
Dollar Tree:
Cotton Pads (80 pk.): ~$1.10
-- I have oily/combination skin, so that鈥檚 mainly why I can use two cleansers in the morning, so if you don鈥檛 have that type of skin, I would suggest only exfoliating once or twice a week. And the Biore Warming Masks are mainly used to help my blackheads, so if you don't have blackheads, don't worry about getting it.
If this all seems too expensive and you're looking to save money, I have a few suggestions:
-- Buy a different toner, the only reason I use the L鈥橭real Toner is because I don鈥檛 like very much Alcohol, if any, in my Toners because it dries out my skin too much and that was the cheapest one I could find. You could easily find a different Toner for a cheaper price.
-- Rolling up tissue or toilet paper into a small square works just as well as any cotton pad.Skin Care Help - making face more clearer?
I have been breaking out for the first time in my life (I am 25) lately, so I went to the dermatologist the other day and she prescribed an antibiotic pill and a topical cream, I can't remember the name of either at the moment. The pill is like soldyn or something like that and the cream is derma something. Anyway, it sounds like you have a similar break out, I tried everything and I never really thought to go to the doctor because i thought it was just a temporary breakout, but it wasn't going away. So, if you have insurance I would go to the doctor now, but be sure to have rx coverage too, the antibiotic cost nearly$600 a month and the cream was $200, without insurance that is and i have to take it for 3 months.
If medical intervention is not possible, my dermatologist gave me some good advice, first, don't pick at your face, second, wash your face only twice a day with an antibacterial facial bar soap, like cetaphil and moisturize with CeraVe. Sometimes the best solution is to simplify, cetaphil has no harsh additives, and won't dry your face out, also it is only like 3 dollars a bar.

Skin care - blackheads and pores?
Hey there i've got combination skin or whatever it is, oily around the nose and pretty normalish on the cheeks for years i've had black heads and pores the size of dimes =\ and i was hoping someone here would be able to help me rid myself of these disgusting little things =(
my regular diet consists of Mostly grain and meat
i dont hit up on the vegitables too much but i try to
i typically drink an energy drink once or twice a day, maybe a soda
im a smoker ((trying to quit~~Cliche~())
umm as far as hygiene is concerned i shower twice a day with hot water i dont use any facial medications or lotions no makeup ((Im a male))
umm yea..Skin care - blackheads and pores?
i dont think smoking has much to do with it
but thinking about quitting is a great idea.
you dont use any facial med?
well then its time to start
go to your local store and go to skin
there will be MILLION of products
ive tried them all but the thing is
to find one that is best for you
look for ones that say what for oily free skin
and as for the acne this helped me for a LITTLE
but if your skin is like mine all will work then fail
within 2 weeks. proactive helped me for about 2 weeks
then stopped n hit me harder then ever but squeese a
lesson and some hunny togeather and put it on your
face for about 15-20 min and yes your a male but a mask
might also do your skin some wonders (the type that is like
made of fabric with the eyes and mouth cut out) but before
putting it on let hot hot hot water soak on your face that
will open your pores and allow the med from the mask to
flow in nicely and help clean it out. best of luck and dont
give up hope.Skin care - blackheads and pores?
Try to exfoliate more.

Skin-Care professionals, where art thou?
whats is the most reliable brand of skin care out there, with as much healthy ingredients, that has an acne face wash with salyclic acid (2% desirable), tinted moisturizer (with SPF), and optional ';spot'; treatment overnight pens, and ';spot'; concealer for everyday where? The best price? Personal Opinions are welcome. My skin type is probably more dry than oily, and when i do get those 4 pimples in the most random spots, i want to zap them and try to avoid foundation by using a tinted moisturizer that actually covers imperfections... i bought BeneFit products, but theyre expensive, thats why im wonder whats the cheapest that does the job well?Skin-Care professionals, where art thou?
Arbonne might be a great choice for you! It made from plant and minerals! They have great skin care! The Clear advantage does have salicylic acid in it! But if you only get a few zits I would suggest that you try the Intelligence line! It s great! The concealer is awesome! They have a make up primer that is absolutely awesome!! It fells like silk on your face!!Skin-Care professionals, where art thou?
I highly recommend using this amazing organic oil known as Argan oil. It has been popular in Israel and Morocco for years. It became really popular in Europe when models started using it, and is now found in all the spas and salons, I grew up in France and have been using it for years. It absorbs into the skin really quickly, faster than most creams and lotions. It works wonders for the skin, hair, nails, and skin ailments. It is all around the most beneficial and rarest organic skin care product on the planet. For some reason it only grows in Morocco. I found one website that has the best directions for all its different uses. I contacted them and they said they start selling in two weeks. You can register for a discount now and future promotions.

Skin care- help!?
I read an article re: sun damage and it mentioned some of the products you can use. I want to know if I can get all of them in one product? Or do I have to buy several diff. ones. For example- they listed recommendations for whats the best sunscreen, antioxidants, glycolic acid, retinoids, night repair...so I dont know if I have to buy a product that has all of them, or 2 products or buy products with each thing listed individually. Im mainly looking for a great moisturizer/sunscreen that will make my skin look great- not age me.Skin care- help!?
Over the counter products don't really have enough concentrated levels of these helpful ingredients to make a huge difference. If you really want products that will make a difference, consult with your dermatologist. Most of this stuff is marketing hype in which they are trying to get you to spend loads of money on loads of products that really don't make a difference. Retin A from your dermatologist will make an impact, as it is the prescription strength that can really penetrate deep and make changes. Your dermatologist can recommend the best products to ensure you don't over buy or buy non-reputable brands that say they are dermatolgist tested %26amp; approved that in reality, no one has ever heard of. In general, some of the better ';over the counter'; skin care products are available through medical Estheticians, like Dermalogica, etc. If a spa and medical esthetician doesn't use it, it's probably another fly by nite phony brand. Drug store %26amp; department store brands just won't cut it. They cannot put enough of a concentrated amount in the brand that would make a difference, because it's really Rx strength that works. Best of luck finding what is best on your skin type.Skin care- help!?
Fistly, you'll have to determine what kind of skin condition you have. Oily? Dry? or Combination? Secondly, you'll also need to determine if you have any special needs such as acne, or sensitive skins, or ageing?
Personaly, i have combination skin, which means oily in the T-zone area, and hence i use a light moisturiser that helps moistens my skin. I also use a separate sunscreen with an SPF of 25 to protect my skin from the sun.
So, it all comes down to what type of skin you have, and then you can venture into brands such as Clinique Clarins, Shiseido and Lancome. They have quite a good range of moisturisers and sun screens. Also, you'll notice that many moisturisers do come together with a sunscreen, such as a low SPF of 10 or 15, which is insufficient. Get a sunscreen with atleast an SPF of 25 as this could last for longer hours during the day, without having to reapply.
From personal experience, it's better to use a separate moisturiser and sun screen. It's more effective and less oily.
Dorit Baxter Day Spa, NYC, suggests to use one moisturizer with SPF 15 everyday. You should apply the moisturizer after showering and leave it on your skin all day long. You can apply makeup over the moisturizer if you wish. However, if you are going to the beach or on a boat, you should get a moisturizer with SPF30. Night cream should be applied only if you are over 30 years old and depending on the climate you live in. For instance, in the cold weather, you need more moisturizer.

Skin care product with sulfur, but w/o benzoyl peroxide or salicylic?
I've had some very bad experience with skin products containing benzoyl and salicylic acid, even with minimal amounts. They dry out my zits at first, but when I use it more, it irritates my skin badly, and my skin dries and flares-up.
I was told I have oily, sensitive skin, and I should try products with sulfur. Is sulfur non-irritating? Are there any skin products for sensitive skin, but will help get rid of my zits? I already use a facial wash for prevention.Skin care product with sulfur, but w/o benzoyl peroxide or salicylic?
Google ';pure sulfur soap'; for oily skin . I use a sulfur soap and mask for my senstive oily skin. You can get the soap bar for a couple dollars. I wish i could remember the website i bought them from. I ordered 24 bars a year ago lol cause they had a good price so i didnt bther to book mark the site. Anyways you can get sulfur mask from proactive, it works wonders. Its all natural o it cant and wont harm your skin!Skin care product with sulfur, but w/o benzoyl peroxide or salicylic?

Skin care product caused reaction on face?
it's small, but red and dry. it was a new facial cleanser. i have sensitive skin. the ingredients in the products were salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. the area on my left cheek is small, red, and dry. today is the second day that i stopped using the products. in the mean time, i am putting aveeno ultra calming daily moisturizer on it to make it go away? is this gonna work? has anybody ever had a similar reaction to any face products like this? if so, what did you do or put on it to make it go away. I'm nervous, I just want it to go away. It doesn't itch, it's just red and dry. It was 3 products altogether, cleanser, toner, and than a benzoyl peroxide treatment lotion.Skin care product caused reaction on face?
Benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid should never be used together. You need to choose one or the other. You may be having a reaction to one specific product or it may be a combination of all of them. Use just one product type at a time. If you want to use a cleanser, toner and acne medication together, choose them from the same product line. They are designed to be used together. I would maybe use a basic non-acne cleaner until the redness and dryness goes away. Try something gentle like Neutrogena or Cetephil. I would also use a moisturizer within the same line for now. Hope this helps.Skin care product caused reaction on face?
I agree with Ms. Flawless. I had many adverse reactions to facial products with harsh chemicals. I went natural in my face products. I've tried Aubrey Organics with I loved, but am trying Burt's Bees now as I wanted a change. I have also discovered that my face is allergic to benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid dries out my face. So the natural products were a perfect match. Try products that are all paraben, fragrance, sodium laureth, and perservative free - these are the best for our sensitive skin. For red/ dry patches dab a cotten ball with organic sweet almond oil (found at health food stores for not that much money) and blot on the area over night. I wouldn't suggest doing that during the day as your face might look oily.

Skin care/face washing?
id love to start taking better care of my skin cuz i want it to look flawless without makeup sooooo here's what i do now
at night wash my face with noxzema and then i use seabreexe with a cotten swab to get rid of excess dirt. but the only problem is the skin on my nose looks a little scaly. and when i wake up my skin is really dry.
so what do you think is a good routine that can help my skin? what drugstore products can i use.
moisterizer?
toner?
face wash?
exfoliate?

I use plain neutrogena soap with no fragrance or dyes. I also use a little bit of Oil of Olay lotion with sunblock in it in the mornings but not at night. I'd definitely put extra lotion on your nose and maybe some vaseline or other petroleum jellySkin care/face washing?
I love biore! Their products are the only face washes etc. that I allow on my face. It helps keep pimples down, and if i do get them, they are small and not red. Biore is non-comedogenic and safe for really really sensitive skin (my skin was too sensitive for even proactive!!!) and this brand doesn't bother my skin.
I use the warming anti-blackhead scrub for my face wash. It really does get rid of them! I used to have them covering my nose, and now, if I get more, I wash a couple times, and they come off. Pimples are kept down too, and are mild if I get them. It has little beads to help get out dead skin cells too, so that's good!!!
I use the Nourish SPF 15 moisture lotion and it is amazing!!! You need less than a full pump each time you use it, and it goes on very smooth and cool. It burned a little the first few times when I used it, but it doesn't any more. It works really well, and gets rid of flakes quickly.
I just started using the triple action astringent, but as far as I can tell, it works really well! I think I saw a little improvement in my skin this morning when i woke up. It defiantly gets down shine, especially on my nose which is always sooo shiny!!!! It takes out shine, and I've read lots of good reviews for it. So far, great! It also has a cooling effect, which is nice in the morning!

Skin Care: YOUR the judge!?
I've tried many, many different skin products, such as: Clinique, Clean and Clear, Neutrogena Wave, and a lot more. What do you think, in your own opinion, is the best skin product that you have used? It doesn't just have to be the listed brands above, ANYTHING that you have tried that has worked great on your skin!
For some reasons, I have these tiny small bumps on my face, not everywhere, only a few on my cheek. I've asked if they were pimples, and everyone said no. They said they could just be random bumps, or heat bumps... but it's not summertime, how could I get heat bumps?
I need your answers! Thanks.Skin Care: YOUR the judge!?
I have those bumps on the side of my cheek too. My fave product is definitely the Dove Exfoliator, you should try it. It's like The Wave except bigger and soapier.Skin Care: YOUR the judge!?
ok i use OBAGI skin clearing system and its the BEST definalty a step up from neutragina and clean and clear
Dove soap..
It makes your skin soft %26amp; smooth.
Smells great too.

Skin Care Issue?!? 10 points(:?
Im just starting to get some pimples on my face but I'm really self conscious about them. I have been washing my face daily fir the past 2 years and am very routine about it. I have been looking at some different products to help me with it so I can kinda get a head start and bite the pimples in the bud. Also about a year and a half again I had tried that neotrogena acne wash that's orange and it kinda broke me out so I am afraid that my skin might still be sensitive or it might not be. What do you think about these products for me: proactiv- too strong? Zeno- will that work on me? Clearsil pimple blocker pen- too strong? Will it work? Thanks so much!Skin Care Issue?!? 10 points(:?
Have you tried to steam your face? Don't wash it too often, only once a day lol trust me, i steam my face weekly and wash it every day (1) and my skin is so clear. Trust me it should work. Some on here gave me this same advice. :DSkin Care Issue?!? 10 points(:?
Since your skin might be a bit sensitive, and really reactive to products, I reccomend something with less chemicals, yet REALLY effective, and I would use Yves Rocher. they are environmentally friendly, and their products are so effective, and kinda natural too.
Also, you shouldn't wash your face more than two times daily, and you should always use a toner, and a moisturize after cleansing
Good luck!
Also, I think proactive might work, but I wouldn't reccomend it, cuz it would probably jus make your skin more sensitive
1) Don't ever pop your acne.
2) Stop washing it twice a day. Washing it that many times plus a shower is drying your skin out.
3) You broke out because you didn't use it long-term. You can't expect immediate results. It takes weeks for your skin to adjust to the effects of a blemish remover.
4) If your skin is sensitive, don't get a specific acne wash - just look for a label that says ';Sensitive skin'; on whatever you want to try.
5) I recommend Stridex in the red package. It's so easy to use and it helps clear your skin.
Try pop them first them use neutrogena advanced solutions it comes with 3 bottles acne cleanser is one to wash then use the smallest then the middle sized one or get dove bar or soap use it wen you wake up then at nite every day an one of those should work 4 you dont go 4 the high$ stuff this is a money saving way i do it an i have none
Just to be safe, when you get all sensitive stuff. It works the same.Zeno might be too strong.Clearsil pimple blocker pen will work just fine!Proactive might be a little bit too strong but it will still work. Also buy Ecurin (U-Cer-rin)because it's the best face moisturizer so if you do use Zeno or proactive you'll be fine.Hope i helped!
I DO NOT reccomed Proactiv...It's very harsh and breaks you out like crazy if you skip the routine even for one day. I suggest you get Neutrogena's Oil Free Acne Stress Control Power-Foam wash.
It's gentle and it works well without drying out your skin.
For a spot treatment, I reccomend ZapZyt. It works, but can dry out your skin a little so remember to moisturize.
hope this helps :)
toothe paste -- i mean its a different ansewer but it really works or u that stuff that u can get at the doctors and it will work but yeah
I use plain old rubbing alcohol and just put on my pimples. It dries them up and in a few days they are gone. Just like that !
I've never used a whole lot of pimple products, but I'll drop in my two cents. I'd recommend that you clean your face twice a day, just use a wet face cloth with warm water. If you're experiencing some flaking, exfoliate once or twice a week with a mild scrub, should help keep dead skin from clogging your pores and giving you pimples. The best preventative method is to keep your hands off your face, don't get any dirt on your face, and keep your face clean. If you do need to use a soap, try a mild facial cleanser that doesn't leave you feeling dry or tight. Also, make sure you use a nice gentle moisturizer, like Aveeno.
People are very individual about products so you're just going to have to experiment and see what works for you. The most important thing is to prevent pimples from happening in the first place.
I've had excellent results with MD Formulations. I'm 30 and get a break out every now and then, so I used their regular cleanser and a couple of their other products. They saved my wedding, and now I swear by this brand...they are a bit expensive, but they last for absolute ages. They have a kit you can buy with samples of their products. Why not try MD Formulations teen anti acne solution kit:

You can buy it on Amazon as well.
The kit contains a moisturizer for the face (it came in the adult kit as well) which I personally didn't need to use.pulse rate

Lime has clean properties and is very effective when it comes to fat skin or acne problems. Due to the content rich in vitamin C, known element for combating free radicals, the lime is excellent in reducing fine lines and wrinkles.

SKIN CARE ROUTINE girls of all ages help please :)?
I use cetaphil cleanser morning and night.
Body shop oily skin toner
Body shop tinted moisturiser
I just changed my routine by adding body shop exfoliator which i use 2-3 times a week.
I want to add a mask aswell for a weekly basis.
What do you think? Will this cause more breakouts?
I was just curious to know if a change of skin care routine irritates skin and causes pimples etc.
I just want to be able to maintain healthy clear skin once I get rid of a couple of pimplesSKIN CARE ROUTINE girls of all ages help please :)?
Good choice for cleanser, Cetaphil is one of the best drug store brands. If you ever want to switch it up I would highly recomend Neutrogena Pore Refining cleanser. It's one of the few products I've been very loyal to for over 5 years.
Depending on your age, you may not need a toner. Teens are the only group I feel can really benefit from a toner because of the extra oil their skin produces. Keep that in mind as you hit your 20s +
Basically their are two types of mask, clay to suck out extra oil or moisturizing ones to plump the skin. I'm assuming you are talking about clay. I actually use one of the cheapest ones out there called Queen Helene it's less than $3 a tube. BUT the reason I stick with it is the short list of ingredients. It's basically JUST clay and a few minimal preseratives.
To prevent breakouts when you change your routine just be sure to read the ingredients lists carefully. The packaging doesn't matter as much as what's inside. I rememeber when Victoria's secret first had makeup, I walked inside their glamourous store and picked up a beautiful package, and a really cute clerk told me all the virtues of their product - but when I read the label it was all cheap junk! Nothing I would want to put on my face.
Try to avoid parabens, mineral oil, mint scents, cinnomon, menthol, anything that tingles to cool or heats up on it's own. All these things can irritate skin, if the inflamation crosses a threshold it will look like acne whiteheads but instead of being started by bacteria it is caused by a mild allergic reaction.
I use 100% Tea Tree oil to treat the odd pimple, and Roc brand wrinkle cream to really clear out the pores. A lot of people don't know retinol was discovered as an acne treatment. It is kind of a heavy hitter and pricey if you are young (~$20 a tube) but if you have an event that is 4 weeks + away and you MUST be clear? I recomend it.

-roseSkin care question! Please help!?
As you insist on sticking with Neutrogena, I recommend Neutrogena's Deep Clean Cream Cleanser.
I use this product, and it effectively treats acne without irritating my sensitive skin or stripping it dry.
I don't recommend buying a scrub cleanser. Mechanical exfoliation is not recommended for acne-prone skin.

Skin care for men?
Hi Everybody,
Trying to keep life simple I, like a lot of men I guess, use a very basic routine of skin care: Washing my face and body with just a soap (Lever 2000 Aloe which I like) and once in a while using Nivea after shave balm for sensitive skin.
I do have a sensitive skin and I can't shave (manual) more than twice a week or I'll have a bad rash. I get a little bit of rash/pimples every time anyway and getting tired of it. To have a good skin regimen I know I have to do cleansing, exfoliating, toning and moisturizing whatnots; I don't think I have to be metrosexual or fit whatever stereotype to worry about my skin. Keeping things simple is very important for me though.
I do heart organic products but don't go out of my way to spend 10 times more just because a product has organic slapped all over it. I keep hearing Bee Royal and Burt's Bees mentioned on Y! Answers...so guys and gals, any suggestion on simple and natural routine and product regimen for a good skin? (27, Caucasian)Skin care for men?
Arbonne mens line!! My husband got those rashes every time he shaved too! The mens shaving cream is the best thing! He now can shave every day with no problem!Skin care for men?
It is not always what is put ON the skin that makes it healthy but what is put IN the mouth. Stay away from the toxins. Most of them are in animal products. Cheese, milk and other dairy products and processed oily foods, are major contributors to bad skin. Just eating right and staying clean. (I don't recall in any antique photos and such, someone with acne and other skin problems. Nor do the books suggest that any of them had a daily routine for keeping their skin nice.)
THE BODY SHOP!!!!! They have an Awsome product line for men.
Also, try dermologica... its a litttle pricy, but well worth it.
Try Papaya kojic or licorine base soap/cream.
These work wonders.

You can ask for a suggestion at Beauty shop at the mall.
Men skin care products have greatly developed.
And many men, like you, have sensitive skin, thus there are many sensitive skin products for men to help avoid shaving problems such as razor burn, acne, irritation and so on.
Having a skin care routine doesn't make you a metrosexual, it shows how much you care about your appearance, Your face is the first thing everyone see's when they meet you, keeping it healthy says a lot about you.
Men skin care is easy, you start with a face wash, then a face scrub, a shaving cream and last you moisturize! Easy right? Now you just have to find the product that is right for your skin, I would recommend any men skin care products that say ';for all skin types'; they are easier to find. And these products aren't extremely expensive, just a couple of dollars more compared to your regular ';cheap'; shaving cream or soap.
Also, you mentioned you where 27, and the great thing about men skin care products is that the moisturizers contain anti-aging vitamins.

Skin Care Routine?!?!?!?!?
I'm curious to see how other people look after their skin because I've always just washed my face in the morning and evening and then moisturiser before i go to bed, but my big sister and mum spend forever on their skin routine so i was wondering what you all do and if im just really lazy. I'm 14 though so i suppose i don't need to bother with ani-aging stuff.
Oh and what's toner for. and should i wash my face with warm or cold water... sorry if it sounds stupid but i really dont know :)
thanksSkin Care Routine?!?!?!?!?
I have bad skin, so I take good care of it.
I use all-natural products (lush)
I use a clay cleanser (aquamarina)
I follow with tea tree oil for a toner
I moisturize. I use the thick stuff for the day and the acne-fighting moisturizer at night.
toner is there to make your skin look like it is glowing and evening out the skintone.
I used to start my face with warm water and wash off with cold.
Now I start with warm water and wash off with it, and use my moisturizer that I keep in the fridge to end it.
warming up the water opens pores, and cold water closes them. So if you close them with a cool moisturizer you do wonders for your skin.Skin Care Routine?!?!?!?!?
I'm 16 and used to have horrible skin at around your age! Pimple, blackheads and pimple scars - you name it, I have it.
A toner is used to tighten your pores and clean away excess dirt which is not removed by you facial cleanser. I wash my face with warm water but I heard that washing it with cold water helps to tighten pores (I don't know whether its true though).
I envied people with clear skin. I started using THE BODY SHOP products since the beginning of this year (its quite costly but its worth it!) and my skin changed for the better. I can hardly see blackheads on my skin now. And if you have frequent outbreaks, don't ever pop or pick your pimples! You will have unsightly scars on your face which will stay for a short period of time. My breakouts were also minised.
I suggest you wash your skin twice a day, tone, and apply pimple cream/moisturiser. We are both ';lazy'; people, and I think that this routine is easy to follow.
All the best!
I use proactive solution.
basically in the morning i use the cleanser and wash off with warm water and then use the toner and follow with the repairing lotion.
and then at night i do the same, although usually twice a week i use the face mask to help absorb oil. (:
It's helping to clear my pimples, and sort of working to stop break outs.
if you have acne, i'd recommend this.
Also, a toner is used to remove the dirt that the cleanser left. and I think warm water is better, i don't know why. That's just what it says on most skincare products.

1. I use a great cleanser am/pm it's called ';Clean Slate'; I love it
2. I apply toner '; Balancing Act'; is the best toner ever (toner) will
even your skin tone and minimize your pores size it also tightens
your skin
3. I use a serum like moisturizer so it will grow new cells and produce
collagen ';Cell Enhancer'; I can't live with out it
4. Last I use a good moisturizer with solar protection '; Anti-aging'; is
so light is amazing even if you are 14 you still need to protect your
skin from the sun damage
5. once a week I exfoliate my skin with ';Microdermabrasion Scrub'; it has so small beads I love it
all of the products I use are from VB Cosmetics they are the best!!!! they may be pricey but they're not expensive for the results you'll get they are well worth it, it its a great investment for your skin
I found a coupon code in a magazine for 20% off ABBLOC08
Every morning and night I wash my face with a gentle cleanser if I haven't been sweating. If I was, then I use a little bit more harsh soap. After my face is cleaned, I put on moisturizer. You should wash your face with warm water to open your pores, and then after you should splash cold water on your face to close them. Toners are thin liquids that you put on your face. They are very drying though, so only put it on spots with alot of oil.
well
im using this clearisal stuff
but i just got it the other week, and i dont really like the way it works, it kinda hurts my skin
but i recomend going to nordstroms and going the the clinique counter and ask for their 3 step face cleanser
it works amazingly
while i was using it i didnt have ONE blemish
not one
it was crazy
and i wash my face 2 times a day bcuz acne filled skin is not attractive
so i recomend using the clinique stuff at night, so it has longer to sit without makeup over it, and use stridex pads or another type like that in the morning
and ur face will be GORGEOUS
Is usually recommended to clean, tone and moisture our skin every day, if you are very young you may not need a lot of time treating specific areas, but for older people they have to take care of their skin around their eyes, use a night cream, a day cream with SPF, etc.
The best skin and anti aging creams i have found are the ones make in New Zealand, they do not contain chemicals and contain the best natural ingredients available
http://www.xtendlife.org
well people say that i have like perfect skin. this is what i do.
i wash my face with soap and water.
i dont get all of that fancy face stuff.
and if i start to look oily, then i use oil blotting sheets that's about the extent of it.
oh yeah, i dont wear make up either cause it can clog your pores if you wear too much
oily skin - foam cleansers
dry skin - milky cleansers.
i used to have really bad skin in the 8th grade, now im 17,
but now i rarely get any breakouts or anything. My face is glowing and pimple free. and good choice to stay away from the anti aging stuff, it ruins and harms your skin when you're young. Use it when you're like oldold, whenyou have your dark spots and the wrinkles etc.
First of all, clean your face with the cleanser and rinse with warm water (use a tad warm water if you have really oily skin) then splash cold water to close th pores, that way it minimizes the chances of getting a breakout. I use clinque stuff, and i use aveeno toner. toner is to even out your complextion. I really recommend it. Also everyday i would put under my makeup before going to school oil-free lotion. if you want good skin, take the time and effort to take good care of it.
oh yeah, and i use this clean%26amp;clear STEAM.so its basically Deep purifying formula, made with natural fruit acids, that works with your shower's steam to deeply cleanse your pores. hope that helps!
we use toner after cleanser to closes the pores
here are some wonderful tips for you
# eat lots of fruits and vegetables and no fast food drink lots of water and the food should be rich in minerals and vitamins
# wash your skin about twice a day with a gentle clenser and warm water don't over wash and make shure you get all of the clenser off because if you don't it can clog pores and cause even more pimples
# tone your skin with toner after you wash your face it helps to get off any excess clenser and closes pores
# mostuireise your skin after you wash and tone it makes your skin soft and make shure you choose a moisturiser that won't clog your pores these ususaly come in a gel form
# Resist the temptation to apply too much moisturizer. Skin experts warn that most women need only a light coating of moisturizer, applied nightly, to have perfect skin. When an excess of moisturizer is used that your skin does not need, it simply ends up clogging your pores.
# Always wear sun screen, sunglasses and a hat when you go out in the sun.
# Use a gentle exfoliator several times per week or, at most, only once each evening. Exfoliators are another overused beauty product that causes damage in excess. Their purpose is to gently scrub off the debris and carefully remove dead skin. You shouldn't consider exfoliators as sand paper for the skin that needs constant application.
Treat your skin. Once a week you can give your skin a treat, such as applying a face mask or steaming your skin
mix yougurt + honey + almond oil
apply it on your face for 20 min then wash
it will make your face soft and heathly

Skin care prob? Help?
My dermatologist recently set me up with a cleanser called Cetaphil and a cream called Azelex. They both have not shown any improvements, and have actually made my skin alot worse in my opinion. i try not to stress about acne, but it does get annoying when you have to look at it everyday. I saw more improvement with the Clean %26amp; Clear i was using before....so i was wondering. Should i try my old plan for a few days and see if i improve, or stick to this routine?
**SIDE NOTE*** I have been using the Cetaphil for about a month now. My next appointment is August 18.Skin care prob? Help?
I think you should try the clean %26amp; clear technique if you think it's doing miracles to your skin.
But if you want to play it safe, you could just continue the old routine but it would make your skin worse.
I had the same problems too with the medicines my dermatologist gave to me they made my skin hot and reddish and stuff but now it's calmer when i just used a facial scrub. It really does work with oily skin and drinking lots of water may also help.
I also tried Proactive. I suggest that YOU NEVER use it, it makes your skin addicted to its chemicals which will make your skin break out more.
Good luck! :)Skin care prob? Help?

After getting rid of all kind of skin infection, when you sit back and sigh that it's all over you are left with those tainted marks for life. If plastic surgery does not seem to be the answer for all the problems, get the help of these simple home remedy treatments. All treatment items are available in your kitchen. Get hold of them and swirl the magic wand for your skin to glow like a baby. Below are the specific natural treatments for acne scars, skin infection scars and chicken pox scars.
Acne scars
Apply sandalwood paste with rosewater and leave it overnight over the scars. You can even apply a mixture of sandalwood paste and black gram paste.
For dark acne scars use lemon juice. Before applying, clean the scars with warm water and dab 1 tsp of lemon juice into a cotton ball and apply it on the scars and leave it for 10-15 minutes. Make sure to apply sunscreen prior to going out in the sun as lemon juice makes your skin photosensitive.
Cucumber with lemon juice or honey with lemon juice also helps. Honey also helps for chicken pox scars. However people with oily skin should avoid the use of honey.
Apply a paste of gram flour, curd, turmeric and lemon juice and leave for 10-20 minutes
Mix 1 tablespoon each of sour cream, yogurt, grinded oatmeal and few drops of lemon juice. Apply it on scars and leave for 10 minutes and rinse.
Gently rub baking soda paste on your scar for sixty seconds and rinse off. It acts as micro dermabrasion treatment for your skin.
Apply smashed pineapple on your face and leave it for 10 minutes. Wash it off with warm water. It will help in fading acne marks as pineapple contains ascorbic acid.
Chicken pox and other skin infection scars
To reduce the effects of chicken pox scarring apply Sandalwood oil from the first day of appearance of rash.
To prevent deepening of the chicken pox scars apply cod liver oil, Aloe Vera gel, or vitamin E oil.
For skin infection scars smear some tea tree oil on the scar or apply cocoa butter
You can also use wheat grass spray to reduce the scar effects on your body.
To end with drink 80 ounces of filtered water everyday as water keeps the skin plump, removes toxins, and builds new skin cells. Although above products are helpful too many other may be allergic to it. Therefore make sure to avoid using any of these products if you are allergic to it.

Skin Care Help !! Too Many Products + Confused and a Little Frustrated?
hey guys, so here's my dilemma, I'm 22 years old and I've never really taken the liberty of caring for my skin .. and a few days ago i realised that if i dont start looking after my skin then im going to age not so gracefully..
ive been researching products for skin care (i.e facial cleansers toners mosturisers) and also anti-aging products..
there are so many brands and they all seem good but i need advice and referrals from real people with real experiences...
my skin is in bad shape, i don't drink water (like at all) and the only time my face is hydrated is when i have a shower twice a day... i tend to wash my face with shampoo or soap, i fair oily skin but dry in some areas i have HUGE pores in the area under my eyes, (which are not good for the self-esteem) ... i have break outs and alot of blemishes along my cheeks and chin.
So my question is pretty much that, what brands are best to use in skin care also which brands are best to use for anti-aging...and not to forget my GINORMOUS poresSkin Care Help !! Too Many Products + Confused and a Little Frustrated?

Drink water!
Also try a set of products for your skin type. I hear the Clinique 3-step system is good. Note: your skin WILL get worse before it gets better. After about a month, your skin should be great. Also exfoliate once or twice a week and use a mask. I like the aspirin and honey mask, so I get my deep exfoliation and my tighter pores.
Its hard to give exactly a specific brand but I would try to start sampling some. I like Mario Badescu- go on mariobadescu.com and fill out the questionaire. They will email you back asking if they can send you samples. They send generous samples. Another good one is Paulas Choice-she is well known for her research on skincare products and offers an impressive line of products. Her webite is full of information, and you can purchase samples. If you prefer the drugstore route try Neutrogena. Lots of goood products. Also check www.makeupalley.com is has lots of reviews on products from real people that will save you from costly mistakes! Of course you can go to a derm.
But I think Paulas Choice is a good line for oily skin gals. Along with Mario Badescu.
There's a product by Nu Skin called Clear Action and this product is excellent. In addition to Clear Action, there's a device called the Galvanic Spa that helps to pull out impurities, dirt and other debris out of your skin, while in the same time, pushing in nutrients and moisture into your skin. What you'll do is use the cleanser and toner part of the Clear Action product and after that, start your Galvanic Spa treatments. They work great together! However, you can still use the Clear Action product by it's self. By the way, Nu Skin has the best anti-aging products in the market today. Go to www.CO2intl.nsedreams.com and check out the products.

Skin care remedies?
hi im kaylee and i LOVE trying new skin care remedies BUT most of them dont work.i think my skins oily?haha i dont know!
the hard thing about this is though that most skincare remedies take a whole lot of time to make and end up just cleaning the dirt off, nothing else.if you have anything that dramtically changed the way your face looks or that you heard works real good,id love to hear it,thanks!oh and tell me what donesnt work you.
p.s
it doesnt have to be just skincare, anything like shampoo,lotions,whatever..i want to hear about it!Skin care remedies?
Hey Kaylee :D
WOW. I have alot of things to tell you. I'm very picky with my shampoo's and you should start using shampoo's that dont have sodium laurel sulfates in it because they're harmful to your eyes even if you don't feel the shampoo going in your eyes, it still goes into your eyes. You should buy yourself an organic shampoo or even make your own. You should also use organic facial wash. I started eating healthier and my skin started clearing up and brightening. Usually, what you eat, efffects your skin. Since you have oily skin, i'm guessing you have pimples too. Don't touch your skin with your hands because no matter how many times you wash it, your hands still have oil on it. You should stop eating things that have hydrogenated oils in them because they're harmful and bad for your skin. On the other side, having oily skin is great because it helps you from aging. It's like a barrier. I have oily skin too, i'm thankful that I don't have to add more chemicalsto make my skin soft. Honey is a great antibacterial remedy for skin because it kills germs and sucks out all the bacteria underneath your skin.
Good luck and I hope I helped

Cucumber, bitter gourd and apple will make your skin less oily. More home remedies are posted at http://www.wellnesstalk.org/oilyskin.htm鈥?/a>
The best remedy that I know of is for acne. It simply involves putting lemon juice on one's face (which can sting a bit if you have any cuts). It works wonders ^.^ It's also good for dandruff.
hi.this is probly just for acne on ur face..
you use apple cider vineger and lemon juice..it helps heeeeeps..
VINEGAR: Use diluted Apple Cider Vinegar - 1 part vinegar, 2 parts water (you CAN use it neat but some people may not be able to tolerate it... and you can dilute it more if you are very sensitive). Mix up a supply in a bottle and apply to your face buy gently rubbing it into your face/or use a cotton pad - no need to wash off. Do this morning and night (or more if you have the time)
Do it after cleansing your face and before other topicals.
You can still use your normal topicals!
LEMON: Every day, drink 8 glasses of water - in EACH glass of water, add half a teaspoon of lemon juice. (You can make up a daily supply by adding the lemon juice to large bottles of water)
The theory of this method is that the malic acid in the vinegar gently exfoliates your skin and may help with some indented scarring - also softens the skin and helps with acne (as vinegar helps to restore PH levels)
The lemon water gently flushes toxins out of your body throughout the day, which helps with acne. It is not to do with the Vit C content (there is not enough Vit C in a lemon to make the difference)
Overall, I would say this helps with red marks, acne and very shallow indents, but you must give it a couple of months for improvements.
Good luck!!
P.S. I do NOT recommend Accutane users try this for at least 6 months after you stop medication.

Skin care product caused reaction on cheek...?
it's small, but red and dry. it was a new facial cleanser. i have sensitive skin. the ingredients in the products were salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide. the area on my left cheek is small, red, and dry. today is the second day that i stopped using the products. in the mean time, i am putting aveeno ultra calming daily moisturizer on it to make it go away? is this gonna work? has anybody ever had a similar reaction to any face products like this? if so, what did you do or put on it to make it go away. I'm nervous, I just want it to go away. It doesn't itch, it's just red and dry. It was 3 products altogether, cleanser, toner, and than a benzoyl peroxide treatment lotion.Skin care product caused reaction on cheek...?
Yes, I have. It was a reaction to Retinol in a product. I had red, dry, flaky patches on both of my cheeks, and I tried everything I could find to see if it would help.
The only thing that worked was Aveeno balancing bar soap on my face, and moisturizing with a special lotion - DML. I got it from my dermatologist. You can get it from a drug store, but you'll have to have them order it for you. It's rather expensive, but it is the best lotion ever.
It took about 2 weeks to clear up.Skin care product caused reaction on cheek...?
When you have sensitive skin you have to be careful about the skin products you use, because as you have experienced some ingredients can really do a number on it.

Skin care products for acne?
In Middle school i had really bad acne but by high school i got it under control, im now a freshman in college and im starting to break out in my T-zone. I get red dots that never come to a head or bumps under my skin that really hurt. I wash my face with Neutrogina oil free face wash twice a day and i put on a medicated cream at night. Nothing seems to make them go away. Can anyone help me?Skin care products for acne?
go to your doctor and explain this problem and ask for some cream and if hes already given you some, get a new one and dont stop trying untill you find something that works!
no one should have to deal with acne, iv had it in the past and no matter what skin care products say they will do at the end of the day its because they want you to buy their products and the stuff prescribed by doctors is from doctors for a reason- its way stronger (and better!)
dont stop a daily facial routine though, maybe stop using neutrogena and try a different brand, get a face wash, exfoliator for a weekly scrub and a good moisturiser and use once a day and combined with the doctors acne cream your skin should be miles better
i would recommend st.ives apricot scrub and palmers cocoa butter, this is what i use, theyre both really cheap and do the job just as well as the more expensive onesSkin care products for acne?
Based on my own experience in uni, I would probably suggest looking at your diet and lifestyle... As much fun as it is to go out drinking most nights and eating convenience food, it generally clogs pores.... I had it when i first started uni and again now that ive moved to london and, for me, it's because im burning the candle at both ends!
I would probably suggest:
-doing a d.i.y facial every week
-using a deep heating face mask every week
-doing some exercise- get your blood pumping! (When i was at my most fittest, my skin was literally glowing- best thing ever for skin!)
-using oil free foundation (personally, if it's not full blown acne, i'd recommend using a tinted moisturiser instead- I use Clinique almost Makeup).
If it is down to your current lifestyle (as mine was) then it's basically a case of suck it up and live with it and carry on burning the candle (that's what i did!!) or make some changes....
Good luck tho and if it does get really bad, speak to your GP who can give you some prescription cream...

Hey baby, this is the age when usually people get these skin disorders like acne, pimples etc. First point to note is are your eating habits the cause, next is how much care do you take for your skin.
I would recommend for you acne treatment from zenmed which is all natural and doctor formulated.

there's lots of stuff like proactive (which sucks) and stuff at the drugstore you can buy over the counter. if none of that works, talk to a dermatologist. they can give out perscriptions if you're willing to pay. acutane really works well, but it's expensive, and it also makes your skin SUPER dry (which is the point) but there is other stuff you can take too.

Skin care help! PLEASE ANSWER?
I'm fifteen. I have combination skin, where my T-zone is really oily and the rest of my face is normal to dry. I also have a little redness on my cheeks. I'm looking into Neutrogena products and can't decide what to get! They have Visibly Even cleansers, moisturizers, and treatments. But they also have products specifically for combination skin. Should I get a cleanser for combination skin and moisturizer from Visibly Even? Or should I get the Visibly Even cleanser AND moisturizer for the morning, and then the combination cleanser AND moisturizer for the evening? Or do you have another suggestion? Help please!!!Skin care help! PLEASE ANSWER?
i have the same skin type and Neutrogena didn't really do much for me (I thought it was a bit drying). I would recommend Biore products, especially their Pore unclogging scrub and Dual fusion: SPF 30+moisturizer for in between skin.

Skin Care Routine -- 14 year old -- Mild Acne...Have any ideas?
So, my previous and current skin care routine has been the 3 Step Skin Care system from Clinique, and recently ive started breaking out from the toner thing. i stopped using it, and my acne got a little better but soon, pimples began coming up on my cheeks again. not many, a couple though.
So, ive been looking for a new skin care routine. Hopefully stuff that can be found at drugstores maybe, but PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE no brands like clean %26amp; clear and neutrogena. those DO NOT work for me. trust me. im ok with things like scrubs and treatments though, but i have mild to SUPER SMALL acne on my cheeks, but lots of tiny tiny pimples on my forehead that are the same color as my skin. they go away sometimes, but not always.
So i have combination skin. Any ideas?
THANKS!
BTW its ok if i have to use things like sponges and stuff.Skin Care Routine -- 14 year old -- Mild Acne...Have any ideas?
i use/recommend:
mint julep mask (cvs $3~5)
st. ives apricot scrub (cvs $4~5)
Clearasil ultra daily face wash [3 days guaranteed] (walmart $9~14)
i cant guarantee that the products would work for u like they did to meSkin Care Routine -- 14 year old -- Mild Acne...Have any ideas?
It sounds to me like your acne isn't that bad. I say you should try using a mild soap or facial cleanser in the morning and at night, then wash your face with warm water. Then, splash it with cold water a few times and pat dry. This will help close your pores and prevent excess sebum from coming out, which causes pimples. Good luck!
Well I'm 13 and I just use this face wash called Cetaphil (I have that kind of acne that you have) and it works really good, just make sure you apply a moisturizer right after. My favorite moisturizer is one fro Clinique. I forget what its called...

Skin Care: Tanning and Acne?
Hi! I have a question about tanning and acne.
I don't have health insurance so I can't afford to go to a doctor, let alone pay for expensive products and what not. I have fair skin and the acne that I do have is not just a little pimple here and there. They are big, red, deep and cystic. It's disgusting. It usually only happens on my chin but my pores are very clogged every where else. I try to keep my hands off of my chin, but I think my acne is more stress related than anything else.
I eat right, I exercise, I drink plenty of water. I use a cleansing mask once a week, wash my face in the morning and at night. I don't wear liquid foundation, but just a powder to help decrease shine.
I am at a loss for what to do about the acne that I have. I have heard that going to a tanning bed maybe twice a week can help keep acne cleared up. Would that be a bad idea or should I just stick it out?
It's just really embarrassing to have a bunch of red bumps on my chin.Skin Care: Tanning and Acne?
try 2 or 3 days in a week put touth paste on it then spleep with it like that but not too often or els i will go red! And alsol chilax more!Skin Care: Tanning and Acne?
Use Neutrogena Pore Refining Face Wash %26amp; Toner. . .Then, use the Neutrogena Healthy Defense daily moisturizer! They work very well!!!!! The wash and toner are $7-$8 each and the moisturizer is $12-$15. . .They last between 1-2 months depending on how often you wash. I would recommend twice a day! If you are more worried about the acne, I would use the Neutrogena Advanced Solutions kit which is $23 with a 2 month supply. But, just remember that the clogged pores are what is causing the acne so, you may want to take care of those first!
GOOD LUCK!!!
Do you have sensitive skin? If not, use Benzoyl Peroxide 2.5% every night, followed by moisturizer. It clears up your skin. The only downside is that your skin becomes dry, but its better than having acne. And the tanning thing, I don't really think it helps. Besides the lotion you're supposed to put on clogs your pores even more so...
You can try it! UV-rays are meant to help skin but there is not guarantee , and they arent cheap! Plus come with additional health risks!
Try exfoliating , lemon juice , toothpaste....
All of these are meant to help acne.
Though the most mportant thing to remeber is everyone gets spots!
Just smile and be confident .
If u wana get rid of Acne then u must have to take Revitol Acne Spot Gel Or Acnezine Acne Solution. Because its my personal experience of it a had alot of acne on my face then some one says me to take this gel and solution from http://www.naturalherbalproductz.com/skincare.html . I used it and i just shoked its really works and i get rid of acne in 1month. thanx to http://www.naturalherbalproductz.com

Skin care question...?
I recently switched my face wash because it wasn't getting down into the pores good enough. (I still could see WAY too many clogged pores on my nose). So this new face wash I have which is Neutrogena Grapefruit facial scrub, is working TOO WELL. Now I am broke out all over like a teenager in highschool (and I'm in my mid 20's). So I guess it's getting all that gunk out of my pores resulting in more breakouts.
So I bought some Clearasil face pads that is supposed to absorb excess oil. Has anyone else been in the same boat as I am? And shouldn't these pads help the problem?
AHHH What should I do! My face hasn't looked this awful since I was about 13!! Should I switch face washes again? (By the way, I have really oily skin so I can't use anything with added moisturizers).Skin care question...?
How many times are you washing your face a day? You should wash it twice a day. Any more than that may cause more harm than good. Frequent washing causes your skin to produce more oil. More oil means more chances for breakouts. I had to learn this the hard way. When my face started breaking out more I stopped washing my face with my acne cleanser for about a week and a half. I used a sensitive skin cleanser that contained no salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide. Once my face was somewhat better I resumed my normal routine - only less frequently.
I would recommend that you check out Neutrogena's personalized skincare - Skin ID (www.skinid.com). They have products that target specific skincare issues. I use their products and they work the best (I have REALLY oily skin as well as black heads and white heads). There is also other benefits from using their products. Check out their website and see. If you do try them and are unhappy they offer a 60 day money back guarantee.Skin care question...?
You are totally screwing up your face. This is your body telling you this stuff is too harsh for YOUR skin.
You need something less severe. I have the same issues and I have been using the chamomile line from Bee Luscious. I started using it after watching Elle (my favorite guru on You Tube) rave about it. I will post the link below where she raves about it. I may have two.

Is it red and itchy, if so it's an allergic reaction and you should stop using whatever your using. If it's just break outs it could be just getting out all of the dirt and impurities like you said. If that's the case it should clear up in a week or two.
If you do decide to switch, I have a botanically based, skin care, health and wellness company. We have a line specifically for oily skin. It's called FC5.
I hope this info helps.
Take care and God bless!

Skin care question for the ladies...or guys too I guess!?
Ok, I guess I'll start by describing what I want....You know how the movie stars and the famous seem to always have that beautiful, healthy, glowing, always moisturized skin? Well that's what I want. And I'm not just talking about the face b/c that seems like the easiest to remedy with a little of the right makeup and right techniques.
What I am wanting to find out is if anyone can suggest or recommend to me a shower/exfoliation/bath and lotion/moisturizing daily system I can use.
My skin is pretty normal, if anything it tends to get dry in the winter but I want that glow without having to use some type of makeup on my body too, LOL!
I don't really want to pay an arm and a leg either, so if you know of something please let me know!
Thanks!Skin care question for the ladies...or guys too I guess!?

Can a skin care product still be used even if it's expired? Or will it damage my skin?
If a Proactiv skin care product is expired, can I still use it ? I have one that expired 2/2009. but I dont ..?
know if I can still use it. I called Proactiv customer care and they told me they strongly recommend me not using an expired one. Some of there products dont even have expiration dates! I am not sure if they just want me to order more so they can make more money off my orders.
Should I avoid using the product if it's expired??
any advice please. Can a skin care product still be used even if it's expired? Or will it damage my skin?
The Proactive product has benzoyl peroxide in it. As such, the peroxide molecule, over time, can become changed to merely water and oxygen, and hence become less effective. Nothing bad will happen to your skin, but you might not get the full benefit. However, if the product has been kept out of heat and light, it's probably still good. Can a skin care product still be used even if it's expired? Or will it damage my skin?
They are being extra careful in case something happens to you while using an out of date product.
In my opinion it's just that the product loses it's intensity. I wouldn't think that it would harm you. It might smell a bit off and the colour may have changed slightly but other than that, it's probably fine.
Better not to use it. Probably it does not have any harmful effect. But it may not also have its therapeutic effect.
Changes is chemical composition, bacterial contamination, change in colour, consistency, odour may be the other indicators of expiry.
Expired Tetracyclines cause Intracranial hypertension. This is the only one documented. Vitamins definitely expire. Chemicals used may lose their potency due to degradation with time.

Skin care product question.?
I'm very pale and also have very blotchy skin on my arms with acne. I'm not sure how to go about getting rid of it.Skin care product question.?
First of all, when it comes to oily skin it is really important for you to get yourself a skincare regime which consists of cleansing, toning and moisturizing since these 3 steps could control your face from secreting too much oil and cause more breakouts.I would personally suggest you to try Clinique 3 Steps or Dr. Murad products since these two products suits all skin types including yours. You could also try BodyShop or Dermalogica products. However, you could also try these homemade remedies since it could sooth your skin and prevent more breakouts.
Honey Paste-Another easy and effective homemade acne treatment is to make a paste of honey with cinnamon and nutmeg. All you need is about one teaspoon of cinnamon powder and about half of it nutmeg powder. Add some honey to make enough paste to cover the inflammed area completely. Just lie down as honey may dribble down. Wait for 10 to 15 minutes and wash with luke warm water.
Orange peel-Homemade Acne Treatment using Orange peel has been found very effective. Pound the orange peel with water on a piece of stone and apply to acne affected areas.
Basil tea-Basil tea like neem is effective in killing bacteria. Drinking it twice a day can do wonders to the skin.
Coconut Oil-Coconut oil is a cheap and easily available acne solution. Regular use of coconut oil over a period of time helps to clear your skin.
Lemon Juice-A simple remedy at home for acne: Apply lemon juice regularly to reduce pimples and acne. This has proven beneficial results.
Well, these are the remedies that work gentle on your skin while getting rid of acne.Hope this helps and great skin wishes(:Skin care product question.?

Drink plenty of water! Gotta keep hydrated. Oh and Do NOT touch your face. Try Neutrogena oil eliminating foam cleanser. I am using it and it works really well. Also try St.Ive's scrub. Stress is also a cause for breakouts so relax! You have to give an acne treatment time to work. Using one of too many in a short amount of time will screw up your skin. good luck ;)Skin care? please answer.?
Eat honey.
Put vinegar, or lemon, or toothpaste on your pimples before bed.
Wash your face with Neutrogena products.
Don't touch your face unless you just washed your hands.

Skin care question....prom time!?
So prom is March 14. I don't have bad acne, but I have a bad habit of picking and making them into scabs. So I still have a couple scabs, and a few small bumps here and there. What can I do to make my skin look smooth and flawless looking? I'm using Physicians Formula Minerals as my powder foundation right now, and I also use their concealer, which is I think mineral-based, also.
I have normal-type skin if this helps, also. Any suggestions on what products I should use to make it smooth and flawless looking? Also I need suggestions on what I can use for some bacne, too.Skin care question....prom time!?
some of that clean and clear silver tube its fast acting and makes zits look smaller the first 8 hrs u use it. i use it and i only have little zits it works rly goodSkin care question....prom time!?
I use Maybelline silky smooth foundation. It has the foundation on one side of the bottle and moisturizer on the other side. when you push the pump, a little of both come out. It is the best foundation I have ever used. And believe me, i've tried so many different ones! It is very thick and covers every imperfection, even huge red pimples! It makes your skin completely flawless. I have some ance and acne scars and it covers everything! It is not shear like most foundations. I don't even have to use concealer it's so good. Then I use a little bronzer loose mineral powder on my checks, chin, and forehead to finish.
Well I'm sure you already know that you'll have to stop picking. I had the same problem before my wedding and just put my mind that I wouldn't pick any more. That alone helped immensely. However, I believe in Clinique acne treatments. I bought the soap, the clarifying lotion, the spot treatment, and also, they make a body acne spray that I still use today. I also got an antibacterial body wash and used a loofah. That helped as well. My face and back were clear on the wedding day!
Leave your skin and the scabs alone, let them heal by themselves naturally. You can try using a gentle scrub once a day just to remove any surface oils that can build up over a few days even with the use of a cleanser. Drink a good amount of water every day and exercise. So cliche, I know, but it really does work!! :)
Biore!! ALL of their products are AMAZING! If you have blackheads use their deep cleansing pore strips and try their Blemish Fighting Ice Cleanser and Triple Action Astringent they work wonders and you skin will ddefinitelyclear up by prom! Also drink a lot of water it flushes out your skin and can help with your bacne.

Skin care QUESTION! ? any tips, remedies, ect?
okay, i have tried honestly a TON of skin care/face wash products, and 'home-remedies' BUT NOTHING WORKS!... see i don't have nasty acne or anything, i wear face make-up everyday and i hate it, i hate wearing make-up, i wish i didn't have to but i don't feel comfortable w/out it, so i am on a quest to find something that will clear up my skin (my lower cheeks and a tiny bit on my nose)... so that i can go freely w/out make-up.
SO, if you could just give me any skin care tips, products, remedies, ect.... that you know of, PLEASE SHARE THEM ! or any websites... thank you so much!
NO MEAN COMMENTS!!!
THANK YOU!
PLEASE NO MEAN COMMENTS...Skin care QUESTION! ? any tips, remedies, ect?
Have you tried the toothpaste thing? Dab on a bit of toothpaste to the acne and let it sit a bit before washing it off. I'm not sure if that's the problem you're having or not, but if so you could try it, can't hurt right?
I want to add, there isn't anything wrong with acne either, or breaking out. It happens to everyone, and I know that personally, I don't notice it when talking to or looking at a person. I do, however, notice when people cake make-up on trying to hide it. I hope that you can get rid of it, or at least lessen it so you can feel comfortable with yourself. :) Best of luck to you.
EDIT- I have dry skin as well, mainly on my nose. What works for me is I bought on of the little 'spa' facial kind of things. Basically you can attach different heads to it and cut it on and it spins around and washes your face. (By the way, they're not all expensive, mine was $19 and it came with a bunch of soaps and stuff)
If you want to try an at home thing for dry skin, get some unflavored oatmeal and some water, mix it into a paste and put it on your face for 15 minutes. It's sticky and kinda gross but it worked for me a few times.Skin care QUESTION! ? any tips, remedies, ect?
Hmm..
have you tried Clearisil Cleansing pads? I haven't but I have heard they are amazing and cost efficient.
Try staying away from Greasy foods and stuff.
And make sure to eat lots of greens and wear LESS make-up, like wear cover-up/concealer only. Then you won't be wearing as much make-up.
Good-luck :)

go to a dermatologist. I just went two days ago and i have almost no acne at all, like if you looked at my face, you wouldnt even be able to see anything really. they prescribed me 3 different meds and they are working, so go there.
You should try 漏Clinque dramatically diffrent moisturizing lotion漏 for your dry skin and if you get warm water, salt, sugar, and soap to wash ur face it will open up your pores and give you very soft skin.
There's this GREAT article and it's called ';Your Guide to Flawless Skin'; lol. Maybe it'll help you? :)

IT HELPS TONS+ have you heard of the Simple range? Simple Facial Moisturiser helps loads
what kind of skin problems do you have exactly? Well anyway, vitamin E pills with the liquid inside works really well! I had a ton of scars on my arms from playing sports and stuff so every night before I go to bed, i poke a small hole with a toothpick in one of the pills and apply the liquid to each of my scars. The liquid/gel thing smells gross but it works really well. You have to rub the gel thing on the scar/acne/whatever for about 20 seconds. Now, after 3 weeks, My scars aren't as visible as they were before. In fact, they're practically all gone =]
edit: for dry skin, just buy a moisturizer.
P.S...
dont use too much make-up! It ages your skin faster and it's really just horrible for your skin. It can clog up your pores and cause blackheads %26gt;%26lt;
