Skin care advice anyone?!?

i have acne and i`m only 14 years old, yeah.. i know your supposed to have it in your adolescence years, but it seems like i have a lot for my age. and i've tried everything.

it's only on the cheek area though, close to the nose.

is there any skin care product that may help?

most of it is scarring, is there anything that can get rid of acne scars?

and i also have to wear foundation to cover it, but i get very insecure about my skin when i go into the sun and you can see the foundation TRYING to cover it but i get embarrassed by it

is there a way i can try to get over my embarrassedness?Skin care advice anyone?!?
Try not to wear makeup and foundation if you can help it: sometimes it makes it seem more obvious that you are trying to cover it up, plus it clogs more pores and causes more acne. I would talk to your mum about getting a facial, and then use MD Forte. MD Forte basically consists of three parts:

1. A cleanser

2. ';Crystals'; you mix into the cleanser so it's like a scrub (it clears out all your pores SO well)

3. A slightly acidic moisturizer for after washing.

I swear by the moisturizer, but the cleanser can be replaced with something like Cetaphil (found at your local Walgreens or drugstore). I don't know of any other product that has crystals, but they are inexpensive. The moisturizer and cleanser tend to be pricey, but, like I said, the cleanser can be substituted.

So I suggest looking up a site you can order these from and getting the crystals and cleanser, then picking up some Cetaphil locally. Remember: it ALWAYS helps when a professional aesthetician goes in and gives you a good facial first. They know how to get all that junk out of your skin without damaging it :]

A few other basic tips:

-Use products that are fragrance-free

-Use products that are marked ';daily'; (they tend to help avoid product build up)

-Try not to wear too much makeup.

-Wash your face every morning and every night. In the morning, you actually have oils built up from your skin and face that accumulate as you sleep. At night, you wash away the daily dirt and grime, so both are really important.

-Look for products marked for ';sensitive skin'; to avoid anything too harsh, if that has been a problem in the past.

Hope that all helps! Good luck!Skin care advice anyone?!?
Hello

To avoid a lot of time wasting and money, I would go straight to trying a natural based skin care routine. Make sure you cleanse your skin twice a day and use a good moisturiser after, if you can't stand moisturizer because it makes your skin oily, use a gel based serum.

You are still very young, but if you can have a series of peels at your local salon, using enzymes or glycolic can help clear acne and the scars that come with it.
don't mind them you're still young to use proactive.. it may harm your skin.. just do it in a simple way.. if the acne has scar try to squeeze a lemon and the juice, you use it as a toner then afterwards after 10 minutes place a cucumber on it do it in a week and it will lighten.. as far as my research goes, the effective way to cure those acne is a CRUSHED GARLIC, rub it on your face after washing. do it before you sleep.. be patient in doing it because garlic is so smelly and you might see some reddish spots on your face, but believe me its effective..
I'm gonna let you in on a secret. the best way to treat acne is to wash your face every morning and every night. apply a moisturizer after washing your face. don't use one that has a fragrance. don't use alcohol and don't over wash your face because then it will overproduce oils. you should also use sunscreen to protect your skin.

have you tried proactiv? it works really well
I have struggled with acne for a few years now and I am about to turn 18. I would suggest going to the dermatologist because your skin will clear up beautifully. That was the only thing that worked for me. As for the scars, if you go to the dermatologist they might give you a scar gel or you could use something like Mederma. Personally, I have gone for microdermabrasions and chemical peels. They both work really well. I have the same problem with make-up. I use cliniques acne line and it works pretty well. What I have learned is that your skin looks much worse to you than it does to other people so don't worry or get embarrassed around people because chances are they don't see what you see. It isn't worth the worrying. Good luck with everything!

    1. If you are experiencing severe acne, you should visit your dermatologist before using over-the-counter acne skin care products. There are many products that work for others but it may not work for you for we have different types of skin. baby eczema
