Proactive skin care question.....?

So here's the scenario......

I've been using the Proactive 3 step skin care set for about a week now. I've been using it twice a day, morning and night. The first three or four days my skin cleared up %26amp; became less oily, my skin tone evened out, and my pores shrank and I thought everything was all good. But the past couple days, my skin started to itch and got dry and flaky. Anyways, I was wondering if I should cut down to using it just once a day and if I do should I use it in the morning or at night. I also want to know if it's ok to use the clean %26amp; clear brand daily pore cleanser (either morning or night when I'm not using proactive) and c%26amp;c advantage spot treatment on top of using proactive?

Sorry for the long question ; )Proactive skin care question.....?
Honestly the same thing happened to me. I got the dry itchy flaky skin....especially around my jaw line and chin. I would just put some type of oil free moisturizer (proactive also has a good moisturizer) on those spots only when I went to bed, and now I don't have one problem at all. Definitely stick w/ it, it takes time and you need to use it 2 times a day or you won't get the full benefits of it. Unfortunately if you do stop using it and miss a day its like you have to start all over, so I recommend being strict about never skipping a treatment. I never do and I am break out free other that that lovely time of the month where I might get one or two. Other than that, DO NOT touch your face it will only make it worse. Good luck and stick w/ it!! It will pay off!Proactive skin care question.....?

yes if you start to use it once daily it should stop the dryness. I wasnt on pro-activ but i used to use something very similar and if i used it once a day i was fine but when i used it twice a day it dried up my skin especiallly on my forehead. Yes it is ok to use clean and clear whenever you want because although it has pimple fighting ingredients they are not as concentrated as proactive and wont dry out your skin.
You might want to reconsider using proactiv. The main ingredient in proactiv, benzoyl peroxide, is used to promote skin cancer in lab animals to study cancer treatments for humans.

Benzoyl peroxide works by chemically stripping the top protective layers of skin. These are the layers that used to protect your skin from the UV rays of the sun, retain moisture and contain the cells your body used to fight bacteria.

Clean and Clear does the same thing, just with different chemicals.

The damage caused to your skin from constant chemical stripping is similar to constant sunburns - with the same negative long-term effects of sunburn such as increased rik of skin cancer, accelerated aging caused by free radicals.

Maybe you should consider a more gentle routine that feeds your cells to keep them healthy instead of killing them?

There's a link to natural acne control in my profile if you're interested in learning more. Just click my avatar. Ask your mom to read, ';What Every Parent NEEDS to Know About Benzoyl Peroxide'; (link on my profile) and see if she still wants you to use it.

  • Makeup/Skin care routine for 8th grade?

Im 13, going into 8th grade, and im starting to wear makeup this year.

I'm pretty pale and i have issues with zits. I would say mild acne. What should I wear? Also, what does toner do for your skin?

    I was thinking:

    Gold eyeshadow

    Covergirl Exact Eyelights mascara

    Light pink plush

    Light pink lip gloss

Also, I was thinking about foundation/powder. Can you tell me about these, and is there a type that you can get for a reasonable price that won't cause zits?Makeup/Skin care routine for 8th grade?
    Im in 8th grade too(:

There are many different acne stuff, but all i did was started washing my face and all of my pimples went away(:

Toner just preps your skin for moisturizer. It brings out your natural moisturizer and makes your skin softer. Heres what I use:

    Foundation

    Concealer

    Blush/Bronzer (Blush in Spring/Summer Bronzer in Fall/Winter)

    Eyeshadow

    Mascara

    Lip Gloss

Even though it seems like alot, it;s not.

    1. Wash Face http://www.neutrogena.com/econsumer/ntg/鈥?/a>

    2. Toner http://www.neutrogena.com/econsumer/ntg/鈥?/a>

    3. Moisturize (They have different types for skin types, this is for normal types) http://www.neutrogena.com/econsumer/ntg/鈥?/a>

If your skin is clean, the makeup looks better(:

    4. Foundation http://shop.meetmark.com/shop/product.as鈥?/a>

    5. Concealer http://shop.meetmark.com/shop/product.as鈥?/a>

    6. Face shimmer (instead of blush/bronzer) http://shop.meetmark.com/shop/product.as鈥?/a>

    7. Eyeshadow (depends what your eye color is)

    8. Mascara (water proof) http://shop.meetmark.com/shop/product.as鈥?/a>

    9. Lip Gloss (again, anything will work)

Sorry it took so long(: Email me if you have any other questions. And it's all mark stuff because I get it for free, so that's all I really use(: Also, sorry for the links not working, I'm only level one(: Hope I helped,Makeup/Skin care routine for 8th grade?
I am going to be a junior this year and over the years i have realized that wearing less make up is the way to go! Always use a mineral foundation, stay away from the liquid stuff. Physicians formula would be the best mineral foundation for you, they have all different shades. You can wear a moisturizer before you put it on for it to last longer and through out the day with no touch ups or don't bother with that. You will not break out from it either. It is sold at your everyday wal mart for around $12. But if you want something to cover more try L`oreal Bare Naturale, Maybelline Power Powder, or CoverGirl TRUblend. For mascara Maybelline is what i trust, but covergirl lashblast works really well too. About the blush, i dont know about that because i've never worn any. To help with your breaking out, before you go to bed every night wash your face and then put Clearasil Treatment Cream, tinted or regular on. It is sold at your everyday wal mart for $5.
    Here would be your routine

Wash your face with whatever soap/acne wash.

Put on a mosturizer or face primer.

    Apply foundation/Concealer.

    Apply a powder

    Eyes

I wouldn't go for gold eyeshadow, it would be to flashy. I would go with a Light or Dark Brown. Or brownish purple.

Maybe even a thin line of eyeliner would be good on the bottom!

Here is a good concealer and foundation

A combination of Almay Nearly Naked and L'Oreal Quik Stick is perfect.

Nearly Naked goes on light but offers pretty good coverage and isn't heavy or greasy feeling. The Quik Stik offers awesome coverage, but I'd use it sparingly, as it is a bit thick and is more of a concealer. However, it's the first concealer I've ever used that didn't feel like I was putting lipstick on my face and doesn't make zits worse when you use it to cover them!

For powder, you don't really need it!

    GOOD LUCK!
    Hi!! I'm 13 and going to 8th grade too:D

I have zits too :( Yeah they suck, but I just got the Clinique Acne Solutions, and it's AMAZING! But its super drying after a while...It was very expensive though:( But what I can suggest is that you could maybe get skin care products w/ salicylic acid in it. That is something that helps heal pimples. If you don't want to spend the money on Clinique, try Clean%26amp;Clear, its really good too, and you can find it at drugstores:)

As for makeup, you chose really nice stuff :) If you wear eyeshadow, make sure you don't go crazy w/ bright colors, but gold is okay. I wear brown eyeshadows mostly, and since I have dark hair, I use black mascara and sometimes black eyeliner if I wear any. And for blush, make sure you don't put too much on because you'll look funny if you do lol:) And stick w/ lipglosses light pink/ clear. which you did haha :)

I don't really wear foundation, but I do have concealer just in case of my complexion.

I hope I helped and good luck!!!
I am going into 8th grade too I don't wear make up yet but I am thinking about starting this year. If you want a gold eyeshadow don't do one that is sparkly use one that is more shear. Use one layer on mascara which will look really nice with gold eyeshadow. I don't personally like blush becausee it sometimes makes people look cheesy but here is a good tip from Seventeen Magazine: Dab a cream blush onto the apples of your cheeks then blend up to your temples. Glide on a matching lip gloss to amp up the effect. You could also use a super shiny nude gloss on your lips to finish the look. Good luck!
im going into grade 10, and in 8th grade, all i really wore was

black eyeliner on my lower waterline

    covergirl lash blast black mascara

    light pink lip gloss

and because im very pale, pink blush

you dont really need foundation or powder or anything.

toner makes your skin a shade darker, which you dont really need, seeing as how young you are. and it also doesnt look very natural.

you can just use a cover-up stick. it hides the pimples if you have problem areas.

good luck, and dont wear too much. you dont want to look like a whore.

and also, if youre going to wear eyeshadow, only wear a light matte gold one, or it will stand out too much and look too try-hard-ish.

plus, youre never going to get rid of puberty pimples. even with the best face wash in the world. they will go away on their own with age (probably14 or 15 years old)
since your just starting to wear makeup i would only wear mascara and go for really full lashes and thats it.and nude or light pink gloss like you said. for your zits just put concealer and pressed powder where you need it. revlon has some good concealers and powders and they're affordable. to actually get rid of your zits use Neutrogena Oil Free Acne Wash , its really good. just use it before you put on makeup and at night before bed. if you need more then a face wash just get a zit cream.

    so overall

    - 2 or 3 coats of mascara

    - little bit of nude or pink gloss

    - conclear when you need it

    - wash your face regularaly

    hope i helped !
Im in the 9th grade and I JUST started wearing Mascara thats it. So thats what i suggest. It'll really bring out your eyes
okay well in the makeup department i think when i was ur age i was wearing.

foundation-maybelline dream liquid mousse its about 7-8$$ or right now i suggest the revlon colorstay :)

concealer {if you need it}-the revlon colorstay one is awesome!! 5-6$$

eyeliner-aswell lol revlon colorstay 5-6$$ or the maybelline difine-a-line which is about 4-5$$

eye lash curler is a must lol!! only 2-3$$

and mascara-there are many good ones oout there here are a few:

    covergirl lash blast 5-6$$

    rimmel london sexy curvs 4-5$$

    l'oreal telescopic 6-7$$

    as for skin care:

i suggest the neutrogena pink grapefruit acne wash, toner and moisterizer. if so the clean and clear acne advantage spot treatment works well too :)

haiii.. okaii well about 6 months ago i was in a play ad i over heard one of my co stars talking to this other girl about this product she uses. 1. Go slow on makeup.

    2. Take a well deserved snooze. There has never been a better way to rejuvenate and replenishing all the powers of your body than a good night鈥檚 sleep.

    3. Improve your lifestyle. One of the greatest favors you can do your body is to quit smoking and stop consuming alcohol if you do!

    4. Put a smile on your face. A smile does not cost you anything but does a lot of good to your entire health.

    5. A positive attitude is seen well in your appearance and the way you conduct all that you do.

    Daily Skin Care Rutine?? Help!?

OKay I have been using like the whole um acne care treatment from neutragena but its just not doing it for me... so this is what I have come up with

    MORNINGS

    oil-free acne wash cream cleanser

    pore refining toner

    illuminating whip moisturizer SPF 20

-OR- (depending on how much time i'll spend outside)

healthy defense SPF 45 daily moisturizer

on the spot acne treatment (if needed)

    EVENINGS

    make-up remover cleansing towelettes

    oil-free acne wash cream cleanser

    pore refining toner

    light night cream (moisturizer)

okay for that do u think its ok?? the only question I have is do I need to use the toner at night and morning?? idk!

    MAKEUP

mineral sheers liquid makeup SPF 20

    lip moisturizer

okay the reason I put makeup in there was cuz makeup can make a difference on how good ur face looks rigth so is that makeup gonna be okay or can u recomend a good like foundation that wont mess with the acne treatment stuff and will cover up good if needed??

okay so over all what do u think!

OH forgot... all products are neutrogena just cuz its a good product and i can get it at walmart and for good prices so yaDaily Skin Care Rutine?? Help!?
    i think thats good.

but you should try using more moisterizer at night

than in the morning especially if you have combination or oily skin.

and yes, you do need toner twice a day

because it removes any residue left behind from the cleanser.

also, try using an oil based cleanser instead of cream.

the oil will help disolve the sebum in acne better than cream.

and if after a month or two your acne still isnt gone, try clean and clear.

    it works AMAZING for me.

[e-mail me if you decide to get it so i can tell you which ones to get.

or just if you have more questions]

hope i helped!Daily Skin Care Rutine?? Help!?
It's better not to use a cream cleanser for your acne-prone skin even though it says oil-free, better use a foaming one. Rest are fine as long as those products work for your skin type and it's alright if it doesn't work at first, just give it a month and see. Good luck!

    Excercise - skin care?

Over the last few months, I have been drinking a lot of alcohol and smoking far too much due to various issues. I am not overweight but have not been doing any excercise.

Since new year, I have decided to cut back the amount I smoke - I know I should give up totally - and I am abstaining from alcohol for a few months.

I am 35 and the skin on my face looks awful - I have thick folds between my nose and mouth - think they are called nasibol folds - or something - and I have thick black bags under my eyes.

I just wondered; if I combined the above measures with walking a few miles each day, whether my skin colour tone, texture and bags under the eyes could disappear.Excercise - skin care?
Deep folds around the nasal area is a sign respiratory distress of the lungs, sinus areas. The areas under the eyes is bladder distress. Usually dehydration. Look into Face Mapping.

Exercise can and will improve circulation, but you need to change diet habits too. Stopping alcohol will help with liver, bladder and kidney functions. It depends on how much damage as too if improvement in skin tone, texture occurs.

One cigarette is just as bad as the whole pack. The lung tissue begins to heal immediately within 24 hours of no smoking. However quitting is difficult it is the best course of action.Excercise - skin care?
The word overweight spells out different things to different people. It's a good idea to set off at the beginning, and determine if you are really overweight for your size or not, by working out your BMI (Body Mass Index). To be honest, the sole method which clearly worked for me was wu-yi tea, it can be seen in the resource box underneath, they have a small number of free trials remaining, it was reported in Reader's Digest and CNN. I lost twenty five pounds, it clearly does work!
Cut out the booze and fags as much as possible and drink lots of water. Make sure you get your 5 a day (fruit and veg that is!!). Snack on healthy things like nuts, dried fruit etc. Get lots of exercise and fresh air - but make sure you wear a moisturiser with an SPF.

When you're feeling and looking lots better, treat yourself to a facial!
this should deffinately help, but what will really help on top of that is drinking around 2 litres of water a day- it sounds like a lot but it will do you the world of good.
Healthy diet and exercise will usually result in healthy skin. It's difficult to say whether the measures you've outlined will make those issues disappear totally, but I think you will see an improvement.
if u detox then u will be fine but u will notice that u get a few spots after detoxing for a few days this is just the toxins coming out of your system and after a week or so your skin will look radiant.

    Arbonne Skin Care Question???

okay, so ive been searching for a product to treat my mild acne. i think i have found it, but first i want to know if anyone has had a bad experience with this product.

    is it drying?

is it good for sensitive skin?

how long does it take to get results??

PLEASE ANY INFO is greatly appreciated!!

    https://www.arbonne.com/shop_online/show鈥?/a>Arbonne Skin Care Question???
In order to properly treat your specific skin type, I recommend talking to an Arbonne Consultant. They can help to customize a skin care regimen to fit your skin type and needs. Arbonne has several different skin care lines to help you including the Intelligence line for nomal to dry skin, Acne Clear Advantage for acne prone skin, and Re9 for mature skin.

When trying new products, consider that the normal process of new skin cells rising to the surface 鈥?cell turnover rate 鈥?takes 30-60 days; therefore you may not see the new cells that are stimulated by the products for as long as two months.

There is an initial period of adjustment that skin goes through any time you switch products or begin using a new system. This is completely normal and varies in duration, because everyone鈥檚 skin is different. It can take about four to six weeks for the skin to adjust to new products. During this process, it is normal to have new breakouts, additional breakouts, or a different reaction of some sort because the products are very concentrated and will bring impurities up to the surface of your skin.

Parabens are used as safe and effective preservatives in cosmetic, food, and drug formulated and protect against yeast, molds, and other bacteria. Because Arbonne's unique formulations are oil and water emulsions, they use parabens to offer broad-spectrum protection from yeast, molds, and other bacteria that are common in the environment and naturally occurring in water. They ensure long term safety for the consumer. Paraben sensitization has been reported when they have been applied to broken skin or when used in concentration exceeding 1%. Arbonne uses less than 0.5%.

If you would like more information or have any questions, I would be happy to help you!Arbonne Skin Care Question???
I can give you some information about the Arbonne Clear Advantage line. The products normally take about 4-8 weeks of consistent use to get a result, depending on how severe your acne is.

What's really great about the Arbonne line is that it contains both a dietary supplement to fight acne from the inside AND a wash, a toner, and a lotion to fight acne from the outside.

If you have more questions, I would be happy to respond further. You can contact me by going to http://mandybledsoe.myarbonne.com

    Best of Luck!
No bad experiences my clients love it! Dont over use the product small amounts does not dry out most skin types. We have seen results in 3 days and continue use till acne is gone then get onto the Intellegence line, stay away from heavy creams!
Try Mary Kay's Velocity skin care. It is less expensive and is AWESOME! It works for all skin types, even sensitive and is made for teens.
i am an esthetician, i specialize in healthy skin care and Arbonne is not good, especially not for sensitive skin, it contains the preservatives called parabens, parabens are carcinogenic, in other words, they cause cancer. Just google the word parabens or toxic skin care ingredients and you will be alarmed and informed.

  • What type of skin care would be best for me to use on sensitive skin?

I have extremely sensitive skin that becomes red if I use a product that is too harsh for my skin. I've tried some sensitive skin products from clean and clear but it seems that they are too sensitive and then they do not help against the pimples that are starting to appear. I've used Neutragena, Clean and Clear, Olay, and Clearasil. All of which has not helped me. The Clearasil did help some but it made my face really red so I discontinued using it. I'm trying out the new product from Olay. It worked fine at first, but now I am getting even more pimples. Is there any product that I can use that will help fight pimples but is sensitive to skin? What type of skin care would be best for me to use on sensitive skin?
You need to treat your skin as a sensitive skin, even though you have pimples. Clean and clear, clearasil etc will be too harsh.

Use a gentle cleanser - probably a foaming cleanser not a cream cleanser as it will be a bit heavy for you, with no perfumes, alcohol, acids, etc in it.

    The same with your moisturiser.

Don't use any harsh abrasives or scrubs on your skin.

Avoid extremes of temperature, very hot or cold water, cleanse with luke warm water.

    Wear sun screen.

the pimples are a condition and need to be treated in a different way while respecting the fact that your skin is sensitive.

For a start, take omega 3's this will help the barrier of your skin and help to regulate the oil production.

It also depends on where on the face the pimples are appearing, your age, what type of make up you are wearing, etc etc.

If the pimples are around the chin lower face area it could be hormonal, if they are inflamed it indicates a bacterial infection, if they are in the hair line, have you looked at what you are using in you hair.

If hormonal your doctor could help also if they are inflamed. Talk to your GP.

With make up - try a mineral make up it won't clog the pores and lets the skin breath.

Which skin care product will work? Angry and desperate!?

This is quite stressful for me. I am quite impulsive when it comes to products, so i end up wasting heaps of money on products that don't work! It really angers me that there isn't one product on TV that is actually honest about the results for their product.

I generally have oily skin, but not TOO oily however i have a fringe, which has made my forehead a nightmare! it is so oily that when i even touch a finger to my forehead (not often though!) it is disgustingly shiny.

as a result of my fringe, i get spots on my forehead but not severe acne. my whole face since getting a fringe has now become really oily and i don't want to get rid of my fringe because it's the onlz haircut that looks good on me!

so what products would work?? i am also tired of wasting heaps of money on products that don't work! heaps of people say proactive is good, but i heard it has some addictive ingredient that makes your face break out if you ever stop using it....is that true?

i am very stressed out about this!!!!!!!!

HELP!Which skin care product will work? Angry and desperate!?
Angry and Desperate -- relax, I think I have a solution for you. I turned my 15 year old niece onto this, it worked for HER! However, what you need to realize is that Acne is caused from imbalances and impurities within the body and no 2 bodies will react the same when it comes to topical skin products.

check this out, and relax just a little, stress does not help with the little bumps.Which skin care product will work? Angry and desperate!?
No thats not true. Proactive is good as well as Murad and Philosophy products.

PROACTIVE SKIN CARE. Question in details?

Growing up, I started getting black spots on my face that look somewhat like birth marks. But aren't. I was wondering if using Proactive would get rid of those spots. And I was also wondering, if there was an age range for using Proactive. Like if it's a good idea to use it if your under 14 or 15. And if it's available in stores or is it only available through order? I know these questions are pretty... stupid and it's not that I stay home 24/7 but I'm busy and don't really notice stuff like that but I would just like to know if it would get rid of the black spots.PROACTIVE SKIN CARE. Question in details?
Proactive is the single worst product you could put on your face, I would highly recommend using bee luscious cosmetics and using their enzymatic resurfacing mask and advanced lightening cream this will be just the trick.PROACTIVE SKIN CARE. Question in details?
No, your answer is not proactive. There are millions of products that can get rid of your dark spots. Olay products can help you a lot. You can look on line to chat with an Olay specialist or input your info and get automated responses. Proactive contains medication which only respond to acne and your problem is not acne.
yes i am turning 13 in like a week and i use proactive. it works wonders . you have to use it every day though because your skin gets adicted and breaks out if you stop. if you dont want to wash your face every day for now on i recommend the 3 step kit from clean%26amp; clear

    Clarins skin care?

I suffer from bad skin %26amp; I'm finally gonna splash out on some expensive face products, I've heard Clarins is really good but I'm worried It'll be a waste of money, anyone tried clarins or could recommend something better? ThanksClarins skin care?
could you say what you mean by bad skin depends on what you mean clarins tends to be good for dry or mature skins.

ok if you have spots and dry skin i wouldnt say its dry id say dehydrated, drink loads of water and use products which have a oil in water formula not water in oil. this means that the product will be mostly formulated from water which will hydrate the skin without effecting the spots or worsening them. also dont use a harsh cleanser that strips the skin alcohol free or organic would probably be better. you can get hydrating gels. dont use creams as they would probably be too heavy and would contain far too much oil! also dont exfoliate too much has this moves the bacteria from the spots around the skin and instead use a mask once a week as an exfoliating treatment. hope that helps.

clarins may be a bit harsh but i know of a company called face boutique which is relatively simple and organic which shouldnt cause too much complications. the cleanser costs 12quid for a 300ml bottler and 10 quid for a hydrating gel!

lol id still say go for something simple you only really need anti aging if your skins showing signs of it! but i still wouldnt say go for clarins! and if you do want something anti aging thrown in i would suggest a serum as its light and wont affect the spots!

    27 is not mature lady!!!!

i would definately stick to organic products then, things like ren which is a really good simple range! you only have moisturisers and cleansers! wipes can sometimes just remove surface dirt and not thoroughly clean thats another thing! sometimes small spots could just be an indication of food intolorence! depends where you get them really! best thing to do if it is a major problem is see a dermatologist otherwise iwould stick to simple products. clarins may still be a bit too much for you id say. try body shop maybe?Clarins skin care?
LUSHs skin care products are amazing and you will see results without them containing harsh chemicals and alcohol which would make your skin worse. If you go to a LUSH shop and ask about different skin care, they will advise you on which products would suit your skin type, and they aren't at all expensive.
Clarins is an extremely good product, do speak to a consultant by explaining your 'bad skin' is it that you get rashes or? If you are susceptible to getting skin problems through make up then Innoxa is much cheaper than Clarins but it is a very pure product which does not irritate my skin, but then Clarins doesn't either, just compare and pick the one most suited to your budget to enable you to keep up a good skin care regime.
okay my mum uses clarins and l'oreal products, but they tend to be for mature skin so they're quite strong -they work and everything (bcz i use them sometimes), but im always being told that i shouldn't use products on my younger complexion..

so try young%26amp;pure.. its about a fiver and you can get it in places like boots i think? lol neway yeh try that before you splash out too much xxx also olay is v.v.good

if you cant find young%26amp;pure or something use cleanser products (used sometimes for taking off makeup) like olay beauty fluid*i recommend you try this first* or nivea products i find them better than clarins..

What skin care products/line do you like the best? Why? i.e., face wash, eye makeup remover, etc,?

Face wash, face wipes, eye makeup remover, toner,eye/undereye creams, face/day/night creams, blemish/acne treatment,....and anything else you use.

I mostly use the Nivea Visage Line, but there are some others.

Face Wipes-Neutrogena Makeup Remover Cleansing towelettes(these take everything off!) and I use Olay daily facials express wet(I love the texture!)

Eye Makeup remover-Oil free eye makeup remover by Neutrogena(gets Everything off!)

Toner-Nivea Visage Moisturizing toner(it smells great, skin feels refreshed)

Eye Creme-Nivea Visage Q10 Advanced Wrinkle reducer(love the smell/texture, not too greasy)

Day Creme-Nivea Visage Q10 Advanced Wrinkle reducer(love for the same reasons as above)

Night Creme-Nivea Visage Q10 Advanced Wrinkle reducer(same as above)

Blemish/acne treatment-Clean %26amp; Clear maximum strength Invisible Blemish treatment(really reduces size/redness. usually after the 1st use)

Face Wash-I want to try the Nivea Visage gentle cleansing and eye makeup removerWhat skin care products/line do you like the best? Why? i.e., face wash, eye makeup remover, etc,?
i use neutrogena to remove makeup bc it is slick and justs wipes it right off, clean and clear for face wash as well as st.ives apricot scrub to exfoliate skin, and attitude product from the dead sea as a face cleanser (can be bought at the mall from those people from isreal!) and i use clinique products for moistirizers and preventon of wrinkles but i hear este lauder is great for the face in terms of preventing it from aging and dark spots, it is just expensive. What skin care products/line do you like the best? Why? i.e., face wash, eye makeup remover, etc,?
    clinique and marykay
I love Biore's line. All of it. I use their Ice Cleanser everyday, along with the oil-free moisturiser that I can't remember the name of right now. I also use Maybellines pure concealer. It has acne medication in it and I put that on whenever I happen to get a pimple.

  • Basic Skin Care Questions?

I've never really cared about taking care of my skin too much, but I've decided to change that.

I have oily skin and while I'm not prone to pimples, I do suffer from blackheads and enlarged pores.

I recently got some skin care products that should be effective for my skin type. I am wondering when I should see a difference if these products are effective? Also, I am wondering what is the longest amount of time I should use a product before deciding that it's ineffective.

And lastly, any product recommendations to get rid of my blackheads and minimize the size of my pores? I took a test and I have oily, resistant skin.Basic Skin Care Questions?
If a product is irritating your skin or makes you uncomfortable then you should stop using it, but otherwise it takes several months for products to work and you shouldn't give up. But you should know that you will have oily skin regardless and that you can only treat it. I have yet to find something that effectively gets rid of blackheads. Also, your diet can be a major contributer to skin problems. For a cost effective brand I would go with Boots from Target. Its a great brand from the UK. If you can splurge I suggest Kanebo, which can be found at Saks. Good luck. Skin issues are always frustrating.Basic Skin Care Questions?
You should give any new skin care line at least 1 month if you not notice any difference by then I would start looking for something new!! Unless there is something major! It can take 60 day for new skin cell to show! I personally use Arbonne and love it!

Please be sincere,Home made skin care is better than Organic skin care products like eminence or juice beauty?

It's better to use your own and creative ideas to prepare whatever fruits or veggies you have in hand to create masks, cleansers, creams and sun protection or it's better to go for the secure by purchasing somewhat expensive brands but with a guranteed that you'll get optimum results and product quality and variety?

Like Eminence Organics have a wide variety of products for eah need and also rare products that it'll be very difficult to find if you wanty to make your own home made products.

What do you think will be best for the skin?

Thank you! Please be sincere,Home made skin care is better than Organic skin care products like eminence or juice beauty?
Well, I like the fact that the major manufacturers have done the research already. Saves me messing up my kitchen 8-)

Personally, I like the tried %26amp; true basic 3 steps:

    Cleanse, Tone, %26amp; Moisturize.

    1. Cleanse twice a day. I buy Olay cleansing cloths in bulk from Costco. I use them 2 times a day. Once a week I replace it with a scrub (a little abrasive) or you could just add some sugar to the cleansing cloth for the same effect. ps, I also use a washcloth in the shower. It's sort-of an abrasive without the chemicals.

    2. TONER!! Don't leave this step out. I use Mary Kay formula 2 toner. Most toners are simply alcohol with other basic ingredients. But, of course, not being a scientist, I don't know the amounts they use in conjunction with the other ingredients. But personally, I think toner is the most important step. It cleanses out the pores. Use it all over the face %26amp; neck.

    3. Moisturize with a SPF 15 moisture. Use it oll over face %26amp; neck before putting on makeup. I use Olay Total Effects.

I have an extra secret item I use in my skin care regiment that I'll share with you. I really love this stuff. It's Alpha Hydroxy. Alpha Hydroxy is in a lot of beauty products at different strengths and varies in cost up to over $100.00. But I get it in, what I think is the best product on the market, for only $6.99 for 1.7 oz. What I buy is a product called ';Alpha Hydrox, the Original.'; I get it at Bed, Bath %26amp; Beyond (they now have a beauty section) and it comes in a red box. I use a dot on my finger after the Toner has dried, then I use moisturizer after that. You won't believe how soft your skin is after just a few days. I also use it on my elbows and heels to keep them soft.

I'm in my 50s and people are always telling me they can't believe I'm a Grandmother.

Pick up a book called ';How not to look old'; by Charla Krupp. It's full of great beauty tips.

Best skin care line for someone in their late 20s wanting to keep youthful appearance as long as possible?

I've never used any skin care line set except for a Mary Kay one that I got as a Christmas gift once. It made me break out on my checks and nose and I hardly ever break out at all, so I quit using it and wound up giving it away to my Mom since none of the Mary Kay stuff causes her any skin problems. So now I'm back to square one, only using St. Ives apricot scrub occassionaly and that's it as far as my skin care regimen goes. If I notice that I have super dry skin, I'll put on a little pure unscented Vaseline on my face or some Eucerin cream as these don't cause me to break out. I'm really worried about getting deep wrinkles later on in life though. My main issues with skin are dryness and I also have pretty sensitive skin. I already have some fine lines on my cheeks, not so much around my eyes, the lines are obvious only on my cheeks but only when I smile. What skin care line do you use to keep your skin looking great? I'd like answers from women of all ages please. Thanks :)Best skin care line for someone in their late 20s wanting to keep youthful appearance as long as possible?
lol!! I hear this all the time. What skin care line can I use to keep a youthful appearance? It's funny because people will spend hundreds of dollars a year on this...well the answer is simple and it only cost about 5 US bucks.........and it is....drum roll.............SUNSCREEN!!! yes my friend use your SPF daily, drink water, don't drink alcohol , or use tobacco products or any illegal drugs. That is the only thing that is really guaranteed to work.Best skin care line for someone in their late 20s wanting to keep youthful appearance as long as possible?
I'm 29 and I have had really good luck with Yes to Carrots organic line of products that are sold only at Walgreens. One thing to note, is that they do not offer sunblock in their daycream, so you will want to either use a different daycream of use a sunblock in conjunction during the day. Report Abuse

I've used Oil of Olay for years (and they have a sensitive skin formula) and had great results. It gets my vote...I'm 42 and look younger than my years (thankfully!) ☺
Here are some natural ways of keeping you skin up-to-date:

    - Take a slice of banana and massage it nicely to your face, this makes you skin soft and all naturally. (Moisture)

    - Take the white portion of a raw Egg and apply it like a mask on face - NOTE-keep away from eye area as much as possible (Tightens the face, avoids double chin)

    - For dry skin - apply some oil, either sesame, coconut or Emu oil.

    - Never wash face with hot water, use cold water, this keeps skin glowing.

PS: One of the symptoms of hypothyroidism (low thyroid) is dry skin.
I am also in my late 20's and have the same concerns. I use all different brands. I've stopped using St. Ives a long time ago cuz I find it to be too rough on my dry skin. Right now I'm using a gentle foam cleanser morning and night, an exfoliator about 2 times a week, a moisturizer with SPF in the morning and a anti-wrinkle cream for night. The brands I use range from Estee Lauder, Clinique to Christian Dior. But the exfoliator I swear by is a Korean brand I believe...

    http://web1.sasa.com/SasaWeb/eng/product…

It's very gentle while removing your dead skin.

Yes I decided to take care of my skin finally since I'm getting older and don't wanna wait til it's too late.
Dermalogica. It's a professional line used in spas and by dermatologists. These types of lines are full of great ingredients, and it makes them a little more expensive. The typical drug store brands use cheaper fillers and oils that make your skin feel good, but the ingredients don't have the benefits of long term care, such as professional brands.

Every dermatologist will tell you, it's important to use a sunblock/uv block, daily. This can really keep your face looking youthful.
I have used bliss products and love them! You can get them at Sephora, if you don't have a Sephora by you go to their web sight. Stop using the St. Ives apricot scrub, it's way to harsh for your skin! Get the bliss fabulous foaming face wash, it still exfoliates but gentle. Exfoliating your skin to hard can irritate your skin and make you break out more. Also bliss has a great toner and moisturizing cream. Good Luck!
Try the cliniqe 3 step system, it doesn't cause breakouts and is hypoallergenic also, so won't irritate. Since you have very dry skin, you sound like a #1. Try mild facial soap and dramatically different moisturizing lotion. Talk to a clinique aesthetician for a customized program. Also try cetaphil cleanser and lotion. Cetaphil is the most gentle cleanser out there, as it is not a soap and is totally non irritating. It is also great for dry skin, because you can use it without water, just apply and wipe off with a cloth. This leaves a slight layer of the cleanser on skin that is really soothing to dry skin. The moisturizer is also really rich. The cetaphil option is also cheaper and can get it in drugstores.

Another good line is Loreal Skin Genesis, it really tightens and refines skin making it look younger. I've been using it for a couple weeks and already see an improvement. I like the serum, because you can use it under your regular moisturizer, and it doesn't cause any irritation or breakouts so far. I use it before using the dramatically different lotion.

As long as you take care of skin, use sunblock daily and moisturize, that is all you can do. Everyone will get wrinkles eventually, don't sweat it too much. Stress will age you faster than anything.
face massage is d best try it.
    Proactive. =]

What Skin Care line for Occasional Breakouts?

Occasionally I have a slight break out. Couple of swollen pimples but mostly white heads. I do have mild-sensitive skin. I need some type of skin care procedure that can take care of this. I've tried many but usually make it worse. Even any make up that may help cover and/or help heal the breakout.

Suggestions, please??What Skin Care line for Occasional Breakouts?
I am an Acne Specialist and run an Acne Clinic in Scotland, UK. For spots to appear just now and again would indicate that you are intolerant to something that you are eating. I would suggest that you take a food diary and when spots appear then look back and see if you can link it to anything. What most people are unaware of is that spots are a symptom and your body's way of letting you know that something is wrong. If you use medicated lotions and prescription drugs then you are not addressing the problem. If you can find out what is causing the spots, then you can avoid that foodstuff and can save money on medicated lotions...most of which are useless anyway.

Foods that cause acne can include: fizzy drinks, dairy (milk), sugar, yeast, fatty foods.

Give the food diary a try as it is the safest way to deal with outbreaks.

    Kind regards

  • Which Skin Care Product Do You Recommend?

I don't know which face care products to use. I have a type 2 skin, with the oily t-zone but dry cheeks. I used Clean %26amp; Clear morning burst, which was fine. I switched to Arbonne for a friend and it made my skin break out, it was too harsh. Now I'm using Garnier skin renew moisture cream with the nutri-pure face wash. I feel like it's almost burning my face. I use my face products twice a day. Any recommendations? I don't know what to use.Which Skin Care Product Do You Recommend?
use aveeno's positively radiant line. about $6 a bottle and well worth it. The weather change has been drying my skin like crazy and i started to get acne around my forehead, so i ended up using aveeno's cleanser, it's been about 3 days and my skin is alot smoother and there's no dry skin flakes on my face. And the acne bumps got smaller. hope that helps!Which Skin Care Product Do You Recommend?
I am a big fan of DOVE products.

Wash w/ the bar soap and moisturize with the lotion.

    Works wonderful.
I use Neutrogena, i love their stuff and the new Wave to! i love it. it really does clean way deep down. My sister uses Clean and Clear! it works for her.

    http://www.neutrogena.com/
this is the same product i recommend to everyone. cetaphil. it's a really god facial cleanser. but if you have a lot of acne, you should get one of neutrogena's products. go to www.neutrogena.com and I'm sure you find a good one.

    good luck! :)

Healthy Skin Care Routine? Help please? ?

I am just wondering a few things about what I could change to improve my skin! I have naturally combination/oily skin but am on topical benzoyl peroxide for acne so my skin is very dry at the moment.

    Morning:

    Burts Bees Facewash

(Sometimes Toner, should I be using toner if my face is already flaking after washing my face?)

Clean and Clear Morning Burst Moisturizer

    Night:

    Burts Bees Facewash

Every 3-4 Days, St. Ive's Apricot Scrub

(Small amount) Clean and Clear Oxygenating Moisturizer

Well I have been having problems with acne on my forehead really bad. There not just big pimples they look like whiteheads and they just wont go away.I went to the dermo about a year ago and he gave me a prescription for Retin A.After a few months my acne went away.I stopped using it cause I thought I didnt need it anymore but after awhile my zits came back.Should I start using this again?Even if it is an older cream. Also using this product I cant wax!!How can I get my eyebrows done and my upper lip.Any advice? Thanks!New skin care routine..advice plz??
I think you should be able to start using the stuff again...as for your eyebrows...theres these great eyebrow shaver things at walmart...by the lip gloss and mascara area....anyway they come in packs of three and last a long time...and they work really really good...it would look like you just got the waxed...and with way less pain...and you dont need shaving cream..hope this helps!New skin care routine..advice plz??
try neutrogena deep clean scrub...it works. plus they have a gentle form it it drys dry skin..plus it cost like $6.. it takes about 4days before the pimples dry up completely..you have to keep up the face wash or they will come back.
I have this same exact problem. I have heard from numerous people that putting medicine on your forehead acne will only make it worse. I happend to be reading some acne posts on yahoo answers today and came across a treatment...

It was to use 4 tablespoons of salt mixed in with 3 tablespoons of olive oil to make a paste. Apply to face for 10 minutes, and then wash off with soap and water.

I tried it a few hours ago and my forhead acne is significantly reduced! It sounds crazy, but I saw results almost instantly. I'm going to continue doing this once a day and see if it continues to work!

Try it, there's no harm because it's all natual!

What skin care product would work the best for me?

    I'm fourteen years old.

I have no terrible pimples or breakouts though I have a LOT, LOT, LOT of blackheads on my nose. I also get some on the top line of my upper lip and above my chin. I get small pimples on my forehead sometimes. I have HUGE pores, that are EXTREMELY visible all over my face. They aren't red but just visible pores(like kindof little dots).

I have some scarring on my nose from trying to remove the blackheads.

What skincare product will make my skin look altogether smoother? To get rid of the blackheads? Reduce pore size?

Thanks. What skin care product would work the best for me?
I loved Neutrogena products, which worked for me quite well, but never got rid of my acne.

Right now I use Proactiv, and I swear, it's the best thing that ever happened to me!!What skin care product would work the best for me?

    Combination Skin Care Help?

I have mildly acne prone combo skin and am currently doing this regimen:

Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser * (morning%26amp;night)

    Oxy 5 2.5% BP (night)

    *sometimes with washcloth

    -

My skin is now getting very dry and it's hard to put makeup on without it looking cakey and such. I was wondering if it would be good to add a moisturizer or whatever on the dry areas of my skin (which is where some acne is). Do you think it would make it better or worse.

Any suggestions at all... If you have products I may wanna try or anything... Everything welcome.Combination Skin Care Help?
Try using the clinique 3-step combination #2, i use it, and it works amazingly definitely consider it. It helps with dry skin and acne.Combination Skin Care Help?
Cetaphil is a great cleanser! but yes, you do need a moisturizer. use a non-comengenic one (means it does not clog the pores) use it at night only at first, and if your skin is still dry try using it twice a day, morning before makeup and at night. there are some great products and inform on this site http://www.timelessbeautytips.com/skin-care-tips/dry-skin-care.html I use Neutrogena's moisturizer, but have also used M.D. Forte's Replenish Hydrating Cream, especially when my skin goes through dry times. If your skin continues to be dry, eliminate the wash cloth (this is abrasive) and the oxy is also drying.

    .
yes!! use a moisturizer. Neutrogena and Noxzema have really good ones! Not only that, when you apply your makeup to hydrated skin, it looks more natural and glows.

has anyone out there used alba skin care products? right now i use clinique, and i don't really care for it anymore. i'm hoping to find some good face products. i use the alba advanced deep sea facial mask, and i was wondering about the cleanser, toner, and spf lotion. i have normal to oily skin, and have a VERY fair complextion (and i would really like to keep it that way). i hope to find something that gives me that glow, but is healthy for my skin, and won't cause me problems (clinique toner really burned, and the mosterizer didn't protect me from the sun). thank you for any help!Alba skin care products?
i use alba facial sea scrub it works wonders and keeps my face clean its really high quality and works really well id recomend itAlba skin care products?
I also have very fair, sensitive skin. Alba's Hawaiian skin care line is wonderful. I'd recommend Aloe and Green Tea Oil-Free Moisturizer. It's very light like Clinique (a little goes a long way). The only neg is that it doesn't contain sunscreen. I also like the Pineapple Enzyme facial wash. Report Abuse

i have a skin routine and it works absolutely positively amazing. I have super super clear skin.

Both in the morning and at night:

    1. Wash face with warm water using saint ives facial scrub blemish blackhead control (since your skins is super super sensitive you might want to use gentle instead of blemish/blackhead control. all the st. ives products are amazing anyway)

    2. cleanse face with clean%26amp;clear-astringent since your skin is sooo sensitive you may want to get the .5% salicylic acid version, salicyic acid helps clear up acne and blemishes. the .5% version is blue)

    3. moisturize with clean and clear morning glow mosturizer (has spf)

all of these products can be found at cvs/riteaid/walgreens/eckerds or whatever drugstore you can go to. good luck! What skin care products would you reccomend? *please read first?
try a regular lotion for body make sure for ur doctor what kind of things u r a allergic to go to a demertoligist
we have very similar skin! i have very dark brown hair, dark eyes and pale skin (i register the lightest on bobbi brown foundation!) i even struggle with light acne. i also have oily t-zone and dryness around my face. it's annoying, i know! it makes finding products difficult. i wash my makeup off with neutrogena normal to oily fomula deep clean face wash. twice a week, in the shower, i wash my skin with clinique exfoliating scrub -- gentle but enough to clear off dead skin. daily though, i actually use the whole clinique skin care line (if you even think this may be an option) i would set up an appt. with them to go over the line. some of the products, in any cosmetic line, may not be right for everyone!

btw, for acne, i use benzaclin and it is a great and amazing product.

i have always had sensitive skin; i would breakout with face paint as a child and can only use hypo-allergenic products. clinique and neutrogena have been great on tough skin like mine!
My daughter is 14 and we have battled eczema for 14 years...I have researched and researched..the best products for your skin are natural ones...vitamin e oil, tea tree oil,

if you want a mask use oatmeal and baking soda and oil...cucumbers are really good for your eyes...sugar scrubs are good...light brown sugar and coconut oil or cocoa butter oil is good...tea tree oil is for breakouts and oily skin..
the best cream i have found is pond's cold cream!!! it was a life saver for me!! it really helps with the dry skin! my face use to be like that, my cheeks were really dry but my forehead was oily i started washing it with regular dial soap and using pond's and i haven't had a problem since!

    Special Skin Care - facials?

I've just bought a microdermabrasion machine from ebay. It's the diamond head one, I should get it in a few weeks and am pretty excited. I've had the treatment at beauty salons many times before but am not too sure what products I should be using.

As far as I know (or think, or assume) I will need a good cleanser, possibly followed by something else to remove any residue from the cleanser, then I use the the micro-D, and then followed by some sort of other cleanser? or just rinse? and then I'd like a mask to let my skin absorb nutrients (ps- this machine also has the ultrasonic where it lets nutrients into your skin better) and then a mask to soothe the skin and then a toner and then a moisturiser?

This is just what I think I will need, but am not sure, so anyone can help me on this and even recommend products (that are available in Australia) that would be great!

Thanks everyone!Special Skin Care - facials?
I do not know anything about Micro-D machines but I can highly recommend that you use a new skincare that has been on the market for just over 12 months. This has changed my skin and my daughter swears by it as she had bad acne which has now gone. I was so impressed by the skincare I became a consultant. I used to wear make up everyday and now I don't. The skincare is called Cresults Active Manuka Honey. Can order it online. Has a 60 day money back guarantee and is very reasonably priced for what it does. I could supply you with sampes if you wish. Website below.Special Skin Care - facials?
Are you a qualified beauty therapist? Skin care therapist?

If not, you should leave it to the professionals. Make sure you know what you are doing with the machine, before you put it anywhere near your face, there is a special technique and sequence that must be followed with micro you can't just start anywhere on the face or you will end up with an uneven skin tone and skin structure in time.

    Be careful.

Best skin care products for a budget?

I have fairly sensitive combination skin. If I don't use enough cleanser, I break out in horrible acne. If I use enough cleanser but don't moisterize enough (even over one night) my skin is dry and flaky. I don't have that much money to spend on skin care products, so am looking for drugstore solutions. What is a good cleanser (to use in the mornings and at night) and a good moisterizer (one heavier one to use over night and possible I light one to use during the day) that won't break the bank?

I need a cleanser that isn't too harsh and won't dry out my skin and a moisterizer that won't clog pores :)Best skin care products for a budget?

ok. keep in mind that if you use different brands your skin will irritate more since they use different ingredients.

some use benzoyl peroxide and others use salicylic acid - wich irritate your skin if you have sensitive skin.

you can try Cetaphil- its a gentle cleanser- it will not irritate your skin. and don't wash your face too often. twice a day is more than enough.

they also have very good moisturizers. =] good luck.

  • Switching Skin-care acne products with pimples.?

My skin is not the best. I generally have small acne marks that you can't see unless you get really close, but sometimes I get major breakouts.

Right now I have a major breakout (Cystic pimple along with blackhead/whitehead combo), and I went to the store to buy Clearasil Ultra (says compare to Proactiv ingrediants which I have been interested in but never have bought).

But I wonder, should I switch from the clean-and-clear Salycyclic acid solution I use now, to the new regiment, or should I wait until this god-awful breakout is over? I don't want to expiriment on my skin and make things worse, even though it is bad right now.Switching Skin-care acne products with pimples.?
Proactive seems to work on people, but many have reported an increase in dried skin. Which may be worst than the pimples themselves. Have you tried the murad system? It doens't contain the drying agent that proactive and Celarasil has. I've tried it and it works. HEre is a general review of the system and cost:

I've used Proactiv for years and I'm 20 years old. It's a little pricey for around $40 a set, but I never had a pimple since. It works for some people, but not all. You can get it at local malls or via TV ads.

For specific problem areas, try your local CVS and look for things labeled ';Spot Treatment';, or 10% benzoyl peroxide. They almost always go for under ten bucks.
My wife buys her face creams at the health food store. You can go in at your local health food store and they can help/advice you.

    Diet is the best ';moisturizer';

cut out the sweets - all refined sugar. Eat lots of fruits which is better for you plus lots of greens veggies and salads. Do your own google searches ';diet and acne';, ';foods to avoid and acne';, ';dangers of refined sugar';. You'll be amazed at what you learn.

Why isnt my skin care treatments giving me the clear skin i want yet?! i cant stand my acne anymore! :(?

im a sophmore in highschool right now and i use to have clear perfect skin my whole life until i hit 6th grade. bam! that year i got a BUNCH of acne. first it started with alot on my forehead, then as the years went by it started spreading to the rest of my face. i've been struggling with acne for 5 years now. and i cant stand it anymore. i tried prescription medicines, face washes, and anything else. but starting last december, my mom started taking me to her skin care place. there they clean my face, give me acne laser treatments, and pop my pimples (in a safe way so i dont get any scars.) to be honest, as the years went by my acne started getting better, but its still pretty bad. and i've been going to skin care for over 8 months now. and to be honest, its not turning to the clear smooth skin i want to have. i hate having acne. its uncomfortable, brings my self esteem down, and i think of myself as a ugly person. so y isn't my skin clear by now? i mean i go to skin care every week. but its not making my acne disappear for good! i mean it makes my acne better, but its not giving me the smooth clear skin i desire. :( so y isnt it working? is it cuz i need to wait and then my acne will start disappearing? im seriously thinking about asking my dermatalogist why my treatments arent clearing up my skin as much as i want it to. so has anyone been in the same position as me? if not, i was thinking about trying proactiv. has anyone used that be4? if u hav any info please help me. :( i cant stand waking up in the morning to look in the bathroom mirror to c only an acne covered face. Why isnt my skin care treatments giving me the clear skin i want yet?! i cant stand my acne anymore! :(?
    Hi

If you really want to cure your acne for as long as possible there are two recommended ways that should combined together (if you can afford it) for best results.

Firstly and more important, you must learn how you should fix the internal problem that's causing your acne, not just masking the symptoms or getting relief.

There are only few decent Ebooks and acne cure programs that can teach you exactly how to treat your acne from the inside.

Where medicine has failed them the authors have done their own research and found a way to overcome acne. In their books they share their great knowledge with other acne sufferers. Anyhow, be very careful because many of them are pure crap with little value.

Check this article about one of the leading systems today that was helpful for me to cure my acne:

    http://www.squidoo.com/Acne-No-More-Eboo鈥?/a>

The second thing that you need to do is to get good acne skin product that will be suitable for your skin.

There are hundreds of acne skin care products available in the market right now and it's not easy to choose the product that will give you the best results.

When choosing your product make sure to check that you get at least 2 months full guarantee. Some of the big names in the industry are:

ClearPores, Acuzine, Acnezine, Proactiv, Vilante and some others.

In my experience Clearpores cleansing system work very well. Check this website to learn a lot more about this great system:

    http://clear-pore.info

I hope that these tips will help you to get rid of your acne, good luck! Why isnt my skin care treatments giving me the clear skin i want yet?! i cant stand my acne anymore! :(?
usually acne products make your acne worse than better in the beginning, i use proactiv its the best one yet! you need to use clearasil pore cleansing pads before you use proactiv though!
90% of the time ppl have acne buz of the products they use to clear it up. have u ever tried not touchin ur face or puttng anything on it? usualy its oils we dnt even realize we had on our hands that transfer and mess up our face. i tried everything u did. i stopped using product and touchig my face as much and i cleared it up 100%.

If you burn easily, the higher the SPF the better. Apply where the sun will hit you most like on you shoulders, nape and especially your face! Don't forget lipbalm with SPF too. Reapply often. After a long day on the beach, condition your hair and leave it on a bit longer than you're used to because a long day out in the sun can leave your hair super dry. Try Nivea sun care and their sun relief products, I totally recommend them. Have fun!Need skin care tips for vacation to goa in summer?

1st of all drink a lot of fluids as there is lot of sweating; I was there once in May and became back very ill. Try using shades and an umbrella when moving out in the sun. Use a sunscreen cream with SPF at least 18 or more. Wear light cottons.
Cleanse with Cetaphil cleanser and then apply Ego sunsense tinted sunscreen. It's not too heavy and it will look natural. It wont clog and it is easy to remove.
Sunscreen: SPF 30 or 60. No sunscreen lasts longer than 30 minutes so reapply as frequently as possible. Avoid long exposure to direct sunlight: Gradually increase exposure. Dont sunbathe for hours on the first day. Keep skin moist, oily and hydrated at all times. You have to be extra careful if you have a fair complexion/caucasian skin. If you are caucasian please see a dermatologist before and some time after the holiday.

Bathe with a mild oily soap. Avoid harsh shampoo. Remember pools have chlorine so wash well after swimming.

Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate: drink plenty of fluids. Avoid contaminated water.

And dont let your concerns come in the way of having a great time. Enjoy yourself.
For humid weather, face mist and wet tissues always come in handy. Remember to wash your face with mild facial wash 2-3times a day to keep skin clean and fresh and applying light moisturiser and sunscreen, preferably SPF 15 and above. Have fun in Goa

additional: to protect hair, always good to wear a hat or cap under the hot sun. if prefer not to wear hats, apply leave in conditioners, I suggest pantene or loreal

    Penis skin care problem?

Okay, im 16 So I dont know if this is common..(im a virgin by the way, no sexual contact whatsoever) And I'm circumsized

My penis when is *soft* is a really darkish brown, yet my skin color is more tan-yellow.

I have small white bumps on the top of my penis, around like the middle of it, You cant reallly see them when my penis is hard but when its soft its easily visible. I cant touch them or anything so I cant pop them, its like their INSIDE the skin, but still visible. They dont hurt or anything, its just kinda..awkward.

The head of my penis.. Is like Brown..but now its kinda like it peeling or something because some parts are turning pink. So its like its brown with pink areas,

Under the head of my penis (top) Theres this little red dot, it looks kinda like a blood clot, I think its from when I was little (Zipper problem, guys you know what im talking about) but this was over 4 years ago So shouldnt of gone away? should I pop it?

Please help with any of these, really scared......Penis skin care problem?
I would just go see a doctor if you are concerned, at the very least he/she can tell you what it is and give you something to clear it up if needed. As far as skin tone, the skin on the penis is usually darker then the rest of the body, why? Again something else for the doctor. If you're a virgin then I don't suspect you have anything to worry about.Penis skin care problem?
wow, this all sounds so sexy. GROSS.
my husband is olive color and he has a darker penis,, it depends on you heritage, hes Indian Mexican German and a Italian, all dark ancestry back ground accept the German if it bothers you go see Dr, it couldn't hurt,,, put your mind at ease,,,
basically, if your not sure dont. better seek the advise of an expert i mean a physician.
Don't WORRY! It's only from poor hygeine (no showers or someone not changing they're gym clothes). Go to the doctor, they give you a cream. You use it for a few weeks, the white dots arn't big are they? they could just be pimples (I have a few). You might have poor skin passed down from family heritage. Now, the red dots.... I've read one of these and DON'T pop it, it can get infected (easily since urine passes when you go to the washroom) I believe you just get pills from the doctor.

Don't worry, everythings fine. You just seem to have bad luck and got all of these at the same time. and you said your a virgin so no STIs or anything
Make sure you absolutely go see a doctor? That sounds very serious.

  • Facial skin care after shaving?

im a 22 year old african american and i have trouble with having bumps shaving and some times around my jaw bone it looks like its darker then the rest of my skin.. so i think its making scars.. ii used proactive in the shower and then shave after i get it and that cuts down on bumps but it seems as the small effect it does its not worth geting another bottle..then sometimes when the bumps get worse from me shaving maybe every other day, i stop shaving and then my hair grows so thick that it itches resulting in more bumps .. any suggestions on some things to use i just want clear skin

Now what i use is facial scrub in the shower then shave and use after shave and some facial creamFacial skin care after shaving?
    ok dude

shave less often like every 3 days and whenever you do it make sure to use a sharp razor and use lotion after shave so it can helps heal small wounds and help dry skin

What skin care product should i use?

so my skin is mostly clear, but every now and then i get these huge zits, and they take forever to go away. and it's never more than 2 or 3 at a time. so i wouldn't say that i have acne or anything. and i do have some acne under the skin i guess? (there are little bumps on my face that are hard to see but i know they're there) and i do have black heads on my nose. i just don't think i should use proactiv because my face isn't really that bad, i just don't know what to use to keep my face clear all the time. what should i use? What skin care product should i use?
get clean and clear the stuff that on the commercial says it clears your skin in three days. it really does, use it.

so i have acne, not that bad but still, also big pores and black heads. Proactive didn't work and i got a lot of stuff from the dermatologist and that didn't work either. so what should i do. I have herd of like honey and lemon juice, what does work like um clearasle or anything. k thanksGOOD skin care tips, and questions.?
you will thank me for this one, these products can only be purchased online and not available in the shops or anywhere else, other than this site. they also do free postage and offer a full money back guarentee cos they are so sure of their products, everyone loves it that have tried it, they do a shop on ebay with the feedback and now have their own siteGOOD skin care tips, and questions.?
a rule of thumb from a lot of dermatologists and skin care therapists is anything bought at a wal mart, grocery store or drug store usually isn't a good buy. things like those alcohol pads from oxy clean actually dry out your skin makeing your oil glands think they aren't working hard enough so they over produce creating a vicious cycle. I would go back to the skin doc and ask about dermalogica. I usde to work with it back in skin care school and use it myself years after I've been out of the skin care field. Honestly they work wonders. If you google dermalogica you can find their web site and take the face mapping questionaire which can help you better understand your own skin and suggest products for you speciafically. If you can print out the face mapping or write it down, I'd take that to the skin doc's with you. If you'd like also I know dermalogica has stations all over the country and there might be one near you. They have a team of specialists trained by them who deal with skin only and not hair and so on like skin care therapists.

I've never really tried anything else, but I'm thinking about it now.

I really like the idea of it, because it's made to specifically to treat YOUR acne, not anyone else's, like other skin medications.

Also use a gentle cleanser, a toner with no more than 15% alcohol, and a moisturizer that is oil free, or even one with a small amount of salicylic acid (so it technically can't clog pores). 2 or 3 times a week you should exfoliate (St. Ives has a ton of scrubs for different skin types), and you should use a clay-based mask at least twice a week (Neutrogena has one that also has 3.5% benzoyl peroxide along with clay).

Currently, I use Pond's line and it works perfectly. Lately, (I don't know if it's because it's summer and so hot) but, my face has been breaking out like I'm an adolescent again!!!!! Maybe I'm not getting all of my make up off my face at night? I don't know. I've read up on using cold cream, but I already have oily skin and from what I鈥檝e read, this probably won't be good for me. I wonder if washing my face after removing make up with cold cream will make a difference. What skin care products do you recommend for removing make up?
Personally I like using baby soap to take off my eye makeup, which is really all I wear. It's gentle and doesn't irritate my eyes and gets it all off. My skin is sensitive and I tend to have those pubescent periods, where I start breaking out! Irritating as hell!

I used to use proactive........good stuff. But I used it soo long and one day it was like it just quit working. I dunno. Now I have changed to Clean %26amp; Clear. It's a cleansing soap, a lotion and a tube of medication. On top of that I use the pads that you just wipe your face with, and have a scrub in the shower to exfoliate. Although those two are equate brand. That seems to be doing great. My BF was just telling me yesterday how good my skin was looking.

Hope that helps! Good luck! What skin care products do you recommend for removing make up?
I love Purity Made Simple by Philosophy. It is a cleanser that is very very gentle. It emulsifies/dissolves all make up and dirt. It is so gentle and takes everything off -- waterproof mascara, inner rim eyeliner, every speck of foundation, etc. It doesn't burn my very sensitive eyes and it doesn;t leave my skin oily or dry. I love it and highly recommend it.
Shaving cream has a lot of emollients we used to use it in basic training to remove cammo from our faces and it worked really well and you probably already have some and it doesn't cost $10/oz
Aqueous cream is great my mums used it all her life and she loves it! Apply all over, massage in, then rinse clean. Doesn't sting eyes. Get it at the chemist, try it..... you won't be disappointed
Shiseido trust me just go to the store and ask if your not familiar with the company then heres the website

avon and mary kay make a line of make up removers and all skin care lines that you can buy at walmart carry cleansers that get it off i like neutrogena deep clean
cream and lotions such as cold cream can clog pores and leave oil on the face. Cold cream is actually quite obsolete and almost never recommended unless you have parched or dehydrated skin. With oily skin you need a cleanser that is water soluble, removes make-up, rinses clean, and doesn't leave any greasy residue. Products such as Neutrogena's Fresh Foaming Cleanser and One Step Gentle Cleanser are used with a wash cloth and rinse clean away so there's no residue to cause breakouts. The One Step Cleanser is outstanding for make-up removal, but it's often hiding in the make-up displays. If you want to stick with pond's then their fresh start cleanser or the really amazing bare and repair eye makeup remover is better than old fashioned cold cream. Olay has some great cleansers that are far more modern, containing ingredients that are far better for your skin, and do an excellent job of removing make up, dirt and oil. The Foaming Face Wash is excellent, takes off make-up and works as well as foaming cleansers costing twice as much.

But mostly, stay away from cold cream and heavy lotions, especially if you skin is oily.
