i'm a teenager so the acne is starting to come up. also, these red like patches keep appearing on the side of my nose and keep getting bigger. i put alba moisturizer (from Walgreen's) on it and i kinda went away. but then it got bigger further down my nose. anyway if you got answers, please answer them in this order.
1) good skincare retine that will make my skin clear morning and night
2) ways to get rid of dry spots (not vaseline i tried that, didnt work)
3) a pimple cream
i know your not magical but anything close to helping me with this will help tons!
thank you!!What is good skin care for normal/kinda oily skin?
1) I have acne myself, and I use Spectro Jel cleansers. I use the bottle that's white and orange ( for combination skin ) and for my acne, I use the Acne Pads, ( white tub with purple lid ) . Its amazing and my acne is starting to go away.
2) I have dry spots as well, and I use an SPF 15 Moisturizer from Cetaphil, and my dry spots are becoming less dry.
3) For a pimple treatment, the Clean %26amp; Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment works very well.
^ I reccomend all that I put up there. (:
All of them are amazing, and their drugstore brands, so you don't have to pay alot of money for the higher ends.
I hope I helped ! :DWhat is good skin care for normal/kinda oily skin?
after washing your face in warm water (opens pores) cut a tomato in half and rub it in circular motions over your face. leave to dry for 15 minutes. wash off (gently) and PAT dry (no rubbing off). then slice a potato up finely and rub over your face in circular motions. the acid in tomatos stops oily skin and fights pimples and inflammation, and the potassium, sulfur, phosphorus and chloride in uncooked potatoes clear up pimples and the enzymes and vitamin C help rejuvenate the skin by nourishing unhealthy cell tissues. it gets rid of pimples and scars really fast (trust me. i tried it. saw results OVERNIGHT). this has been the single most effective way to get rid of pimples for me. non of those acne washes or anything worked... thank god i finally found it !! do it once or twice a day. all my blemishes were completely gone in less than 1 week ! you'll luv it
u can read more about it on...

Stick with the basics: The experts suggest cleansing your face two or three times daily with good old soap and water. Pack a premoistened cleansing pad if you won't be around a water basin throughout the day.
Understand that dermatologists and aestheticians often disagree on which types of soaps or cleansers to use'but all agree that once you find a product that works well for your skin, you should continue using it.
Follow the recommendations of dermatologists and shower or bathe in tepid rather than steaming-hot water. Hot water can strip your skin of needed moisture, while cold water can shock your skin.
Avoid using cleansers that tend to overdry skin. This paradoxically causes your skin to produce even more oil than usual.
Use only noncomedogenic moisturizers and sunscreen products'this means they're oil-free and won't clog pores.
Talk to your dermatologist about a class of drugs called retinoids, which reduce production in oil glands and shrink their size.
Keep in mind that oil glands are very sensitive'stimuli such as hormones, heat and (some say) fatty food can trigger them.
Remember that your efforts to keep your oily skin clear can only go so far, as some studies indicate that oily skin is hereditary.

What skin care product has worked the best for you?
i have combination skin so its oily in some areas and dry in others...and i break out along my t zone...i dont know what else to try...ive used nuetrogena(yeah i prolly didnt spell tht right), proactive and clean and clear, even used straight benzoyle peroxide and all it did was burn and didnt do n e thing...so yeah i was just wondering what else i should try? thanksWhat skin care product has worked the best for you?
Oddly enough, goat's milk soap. It has a ph balance close to your own skin (5.5). Most commercial cleansers have a ph of 7 or higher, so they're actually stripping your skin of its natural moisture barrier, making it an ideal environment for acne to thrive.
So yeah - Goat Milk Soap, preferably fragrance-free, since fragrance can also irritate your skin. What skin care product has worked the best for you?
I tried proactiv too and it didn't do anything for me. The only thing I've found that works is skin perfection. It like proactiv in that it's sort of a kit, but It actually works. I started using it 6 months ago, and about 3 days after starting I began to see some really good results. Now I haven't had any kind of outbreak 5 months.

Help ! skin care !!!?
on the left of my lip there is a big painful red lump about the size of a raisin, maybe a little smaller, kinda like a big pimple, but it started as a big bump then over a few days it became more painful and redder. yesterday i decided i was going to try to pop it maybe it would make it smaller, i ended up sticking it very far thru and nothing came out. now it hurts even more. is it a pimple boil bug bite or something else? im 15 %26amp; ive never had anything like this before. how can i shrink it or hide it? what caused it? and other info?Help ! skin care !!!?
Have you tried witch hazel cream this is a natural clear cream for the skin it helps with bites, burns, sores, dry spots and even spots.
it can sting a little if you have broken the skin but its ok.
As a girl when it comes to hiding things like this we use makeup.

Please be sincere,Home made skin care is better than Organic skin care products like eminence or juice beauty?
It's better to use your own and creative ideas to prepare whatever fruits or veggies you have in hand to create masks, cleansers, creams and sun protection or it's better to go for the secure by purchasing somewhat expensive brands but with a guranteed that you'll get optimum results and product quality and variety?
Like Eminence Organics have a wide variety of products for eah need and also rare products that it'll be very difficult to find if you wanty to make your own home made products.
What do you think will be best for the skin?
Thank you! Please be sincere,Home made skin care is better than Organic skin care products like eminence or juice beauty?
Anything can be irritating to the skin, but i believe something w/o added chemicals is better. you should try and experiment and see how your skin responds to different products or different skincare recipes.
i like plain raw honey on my skin as a facial mask and add it to my skin creams(has minimal chemicals in it)
Crushed strawberries brighten the skin and has the AHA in it. depends on you and your skin even if it's natural you can still break out, but i believe natural is the way to go.
Sheabutter(raw) west and east african blended or olive oil and virgin coconut oil. All work better in winter, spring or fall. i tend to break out in summer weather.

In the morning, wash your face with an APRICOT SCRUB*
Pink Dove Soap, Mild*
And use NIVEA lotion after the shower*
At night use Neutrogena Wave
Do this for three days and see your results. Your skin will stop getting oily and dry, and you'll have the perfect balance. This may seem like a lot of products, but once you get in the routine, you'll be ok. In total, all this = under $50.
*Apricot Scrub* : This will help remove black heads, white heads, and pimples. It will also remove peeling and dead skin and give your face a 'cooling' feeling, if you really rub it in. You can buy this at your local pharmacy such as WALGREEN or CVS
*Dove Soap MILD/PINK* You can use either one. Wash your face in the morning in the shower with this, before the apricot scrub. You can buy this at your local pharmacy such as WALGREEN or CVS
*Nivia Lotion* Make sure you get the lotion. This will prevent dry skin/oil skin. This will moisturize your skin while giving it a glow.
You can get this at HEB, WALGREEN, or CVS, or RITEAID.
*Neutrogena Wave* Use this at night right before you are going to bed to give your face a cooling sensation to relax while you are sleeping* Neutrogena wave helps remove makeup and bacteria, and buildup in your skin. It goes down into your skin to prevent everything that's going on your face. You can get this at HEB, Walgreen, or CVS, or RITEAID, whatever you have.
*Sleep* When you sleep, to avoid puffy eyes in the morning, spray some cucumbers with eucoliptis (excuse my spelling) oil and place them on your eyes while you sleep.

Several skin-care questions from a guy that just doesn't know better.?
So I was depressed for a while. And my physical appearance has suffered from it. I've done my best to break out of it but there are a few things that I just don't have the proper knowledge to deal with.
I am 100% secure with my sexuality so go ahead and suggest whatever will help. Even if it's not something a guy would normally use.
1. What types of products should I use? I know I need body-wash. But do I need a separate product for washing my face? Moisturizer? I also have a problem with black-heads on my nose. I'm pretty lost here.
2. So I've read I need to exfoliate my skin, is that something I get in body-wash or in a separate product?
3. Certain areas of my body are just dark and look dirty. This is due to a long time of not caring about myself and it just got pretty bad. It seems no amount of scrubbing can make it go away. What can I do for this?
4. Any other skin-care products you'd suggest? Whatever helps keep my skin looking nice and healthySeveral skin-care questions from a guy that just doesn't know better.?
Completely going to sound weird, but Mary Kay has stuff for all of the things you mention - blackheads, exfoliating products, moisturizer, skin lightener, etc.
Other than that - Aveeno has some excellent products, you should get at least a cleanser and a moisturizer, I believe they should have one of each of those for blemish-prone skin.
Biore pore strips are supposed to be good for blackheads, but I haven't tried those.
St. Ives has a clay facial mask that can also help blackheads, called Mineral Clay Firming Mask. Just wash your face with very warm water first and any cleanser, to open your pores.
Lemon juice might help to lighten the dirty looking dark patches, my theory is that it could be built up skin. Or you could try anything with glycolic or salycilic acid in it, it will help dissolve the excess skin cells. Check the labels of anything for acne, usually one of those is the active ingredient.
That should be good. Oh, if you shave your face, Bath %26amp; Body works has an awesome shaving cream. It's by True Blue Spa, and I think it's called Sheave the Day (play on words - has shea butter in it). It's in a blue tube.
Edit - BTW, the person above me has great suggestions too, sea salt or sugar are definitely great exfoliants, as long as it's for your body not your face!!Several skin-care questions from a guy that just doesn't know better.?
hi there you will get plenty of answers for questions 1 2 and 4 but i would like to mention number 3 pls be more specific i dont believe that because you didnt bathe a few days so much dirt accumulated that you cant scrub it off where exactly are these 'dirty' patches on your neck inside of the elbows underarms? If yes pls get your insulin checked.
Try Papaya kojic or licorine base soap/cream.
These work wonders.

its great that you are feeling better and wanting to take care of your self. believe me, most woman dream of the day thier boyfriend asks them what moisturizer to use! Regarding sexuality, the best sexual aide is confidence in your body so I would recomend eating well and exercising. For body wash look for something with glycolic acid or salicylic acid. This will keep your body blemish free. Neurtogena or physoderm are good. To expholiate your skin, yes they make body washed with expholiation beads in them but for a guy, i think that the easiest way to exfoliate is skin brushing. Look it up in google and it will tell you all about it. it feels nice, improves circulation, exfoliates your skin, is easy and fast, and not to girly - ie guy friendly. or you can just mix olive oil and sea salt and rub it on your skin. at any rate, exfoliation of your body should happen once a week. Once a day, after you get out fo the shower and towel dry, moisturize your body. good lotions are nivea, lac-hydrin lotion, aveeno, vaseline intensive care, gold bond. For your face, you need to clense it once in the morning and once before bed. I think Nivea makes a product line for men, as so many other companies. Just take a look at the skin care isle in your local drug store. You need a facial clenser (NEVER use soap, it will age you). I like spectro jel. In the morning use a moisturizer with an SPF to protect your skin. In the evening, the moisturizer does not need to contain spf. to expholiate your face, you can get creams with exfoliation beads in them - use these products once every 2 weeks. for the black heads, biore pore strips really do work. Also neutrogena makes great products to remedy black heads. Good luck!!
get some neutrogena clean %26amp; clear at walmart. They have alot of different types of skin products, so get whatever you think you need. If that does not work, try Proactive. It is expensive, but really good. As far as you body, how about some Axe or some other kind of body wash and maybe a loofah(like a sponge, you scrub your body with it).hidden myspace

What skin care products should i use ? im just quitting proactiv after 8 months of it working ?
Well proactiv has worked in getting rid of all the pimples on my face and keeping it that way but now it is just too harsh for my skin and leaves it red. what new skin care products would you suggest?
I rarely get pimples now and i think it is not only due to proactiv, i hav changed a few lifestyle habits like exercising and drinking lots of water.
I would say my skin is combination and i have some freckles (if that makes a difference)
=) tanks to anyone with suggestions! 11 points for best answer,What skin care products should i use ? im just quitting proactiv after 8 months of it working ?
You don't even need proactiv! Here is what I suggest.
Cleanser something that is light and not drying to your skin. such as Basis Cleaner Facewash it is really cheap and works well. (look at your local drugstores)
Exfoliators; this will get rid of the dead skin cells and leave your skin younger looking. I suggest St Ives Apricot scrub it smells good and works well!
For daily moisture use Olay Complete all day moisture lotion SPF 15 combination or normal. It may leave you looking paler though.
