drink loads of water.(helps with acne)

get makeup thats less harsh on the skin.

wash face once with soap, and twice with water.(obviously at different times in the day morning-afternoon-night)

you'll have to just go without makeup for a while while you get your face better.Skin Care ; Please help .?
Very good question!

In my early teens (now I'm 16), I had that same dilemma.

What you want to do is use an acne facewash right away.

I find Noxema, Clean and Clear and Neutrogena are the best washes affordable you can find. Wash your face with that facewash make sure to really massage the facewash into your skin then when you feel you have rubbed it in enough wash your face with very cold water! But when you go to dry your face ony dab your face don't rub your towel all over your face. Gentle does it :D

After this you will have a clean and fresh face and your pimples will look less noticable. Make sure to wash your face with your facewash 2-3 times a day so completely get rid of unwanted acne and pimples.

Next apply a face moisturizer because your face will become dry. Also moisturizer will help in reguvenating your skin and will help keep away those dreaded acne/pimple scars.

Make sure NOT to touch your pimples because by touching them you can spread the bacteria causing more pimples.

If you can not afford facewashes try these simple remedies that you can make in your kitchen!

1. Compressing deep pimples:

Very warm almost hot compress (very warm water on a cloth) to help bring blood and fresh white blood cells into the area. Apply for 10 minutes. The heat also kills bacteria, much like a fever when you have a bacterial infection.

Cool compress (cool water on a cloth) for 5 minutes to push the blood cells that have sucked up some of the infection cells out of the area. Don't use cold. Cold water stops all cellular movement - just cool water.

2.Cucumber:

Mashed or in juice form; can be applied to sensitive skin. Unlike many other acne home remedies it doesn't dry your skin, on the contrary, it acts like a very gentle cleanser and moisturizer.

3. Honey Lemon Mask

Mix honey and lemon together. Apply to face for as long as you can and then wash it off. Your acne will feel dried out. This is to get rid of redness and obviousness of acne.

Just eat very healthy!

And the most beneficial thing you can do to speed up the process is DRINK 10 cups of WATER. at least 8oz. *Most important to do*

I Hope this helps!

Hang in there!
Dr. yael Halaas a New York based Plastic Surgeon had the following to say about the Cupron Copper infused pillowcase ';I think it is fabulous for

Acne control, and will stimulate Collagen production, and possibly accelerate some tissue growth'; (clinically proven) www.cupronireland.com
I did some research and talked to my doctor to find the most common causes of acne.

鈥?Hormones: The number one cause of acne is the production of sex hormones, known as androgen, that begins at puberty. This is why majority of acne sufferers are adolescents and teens. Hormones are responsible for then acne flare-ups during menstruation and pregnancy.

鈥?When the sebaceous gland is stimulated by androgens, it produces extra sebum. In its journey up the follicle toward the surface, the sebum mixes with common skin bacteria and dead skin cells that have been shed from the lining of the follicle. While this process is normal, the presence of extra sebum in the follicle increases the chances of clogging 鈥?and acne.

鈥?Stress: can also cause the production of hormones, such as cortisol, which can aggravate acne. Stress brings upon different hormone levels. With hormone changes the body prompts the skins oil glands to enlarge, secreting more oil. Which causes white heads, black heads and pimples.

鈥?Oily or heavy make up: Heavy make-up clogs the pores and oily make-ups add more oil, which only adds to the problem if oily skin already exists. Cosmetics, especially certain moisturizers, foundations and pomades contain lanolin, petrolatum, vegetable oils, butyl stearate, lauryl alcohol and oleic acid.

鈥?Certain medications and steroids: Vitamins are good for your body, But an excess of vitamins B1, B6 and B12 can cause acne flare-ups. These vitamins are good for the skin, but avoid overuse.

鈥?Diets: For some people, a diet that is high in refined carbohydrates and sugars can actually aggravate their acne.

鈥?Over abrasive cleansing: Harsh exfoliators can damage skin and spread infections.

鈥?Picking and squeezing: This can actually send the infection deeper into the skin and can cause scarring.

鈥?Environmental irritants: such as high humidity and pollution. High humidity actually causes swelling of skin. Pollution is of course is a big cause for clogging your pores.

鈥?Genes: Family members who are also acne sufferers. Acne is inherited and severe cases known as cystic acne usually come from heredity.

And..,

What the skin needs is a treatment that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

P.S. I also know someone who used to suffer from severe acne for 14 YEARS and finally got rid of it completely. She's sharing her story at her site:

Maybe you could learn from her inspirational story
Its sort of costly, but Proactiv is amazing. Those who say it sucks either have sensitive skin, or they just haven't tried it.

Clean and Clear also works nicely. But I really recommend Proactiv, because I used to have horrible acne, I mean HORRIBLE.

I had blackheads, humongous pores, and really bad pimples. It seemed that the red pimples never went away, and my skin was dry, and I had sore spots from all the pimples. I also had acne scars. I even had pimples UNDER my skin.

And then last christmas, my mom had got me Proactiv. I wasn't expecting it to work, but I was very shocked with the results.

Its also caused by stress, so really, just sit down and think about what is so stressful in your life.

Your acne will get better, don't worry.

good luck!
Neutrogena ON-THE-SPOT cream.

Neutrogena blackhead facial wash.

You can get both for under $12 at any drugstore.

P.S. No one is ugly.

So stop putting down yourself.

If you're still going to wear make-up, use the mineral make-up.
Okay :) To get rid of the blackheads, use St. Ives Apricot Scrub! I love it!!

In the morning and at night, use Clean and Clear Morning Burst, or something like that. I prefer using the Clean and Clear brand because it's affordable, easy to get, and it works!!

Follow the directions on that bottle.

I suggest not putting on so much coverup! If you do, use an oil free brand.

And everynight, take all your makeup off!

For dry skin, apply a little bit of lotion from Avon, perhaps.

Oh, ZapZyt works great too!!
