If you have acne is is best to have a proper skin consultation before you buy any product just in case your skin reacts and irritates even more.

I have used Clinique products for this type of problem before and they have really helped. They do a 3 step cleansing product, one of which is a small face soap that you lather on, the next step is a toner you splash on afterwards and then a moisturiser,. If your face gets inflamed with acne you need to ensure you use something that is right for your skin and good quality, i think if you call into a department store counter that sells a good brand of cosmetics and ask if they have any samples you can try, that may be better than buying a full sized product in case it doesnt suit your skin.

Also Clarins are excellent too. When i was younger in my teens i used to buy any product that was cheap because i didnt have much money, but now i find that it really is worth spending a little more money to have a product that is right for you, rather than something that could irritate your skin and you end up spending more money finding more products to clearn up the problem and going round in circles.

Not smoking or drinking benefits your skin very much, also as much sleep/rest as possible as when you rest/sleep your skin gets nourishment and repairs itself, you will start feeling and looking healthier after lots of rest, take a holiday maybe or a walk in the sunshine, and drink lots of water.

A really brilliant product I swear by is by Dr Hauschka, these products are EXCELLENT, and i would definitely recommend that you find a store that specialises in these products as when i had problems with my skin i tried a sample set of these in trial sizes and was so happy with them that i then bought the full sized versions. These products calm your skin and nourish it, i would give these a try but speak with the consultant first and have a proper consultation to see which of the products would be best for your skin as you have to be careful that it doesnt get irritated by anything too strong.

It is also very true that food you eat affects your skin. I have found by personal experience that making my own fruit smoothies has helped put a glow back into my skin again, i add honey and wheatgerm and also mixed pumpkin seeds/sesame seeds to the smoothie, and about 5 different fruits, ice cream or yogurt, this really helps to clear your skin up. Adding lentils to casseroles, stews, soups etc also helps cos these have an amazing effect on your skin. Honey is great for your skin and also aloe vera is excellent. I have found natural products helped me. I have never smoked, I hardly drink, and I dont eat meat or fish. I think out of all the products the best one I would recommend is the Dr Hauschka products, they are really really brilliant and helped my skin look much healthier.

Hope everything goes well and that you find something that will help.

Take care

if it's not too sensitive, there shouldnt be any problem. if you use it regularly, acne will decrease and disappear. good luck!

Xanthan Gum might not be good for your skin! try using Mary Kay Products.
